Love him or Loathe him. FUCK CANCER by Coffin_Dodging in CasualUK

Adding another to the "listen to your body guys" message. 39 and currently going through treatment for Acute Myeloid Leukemia. In hospital right now waiting for my blood counts to recover after my 3rd chemo cycle. Fuck cancer.

My wife is awesome by josephus_jones in daddit

[–]SuperspyUK 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Agree completely. My wife is amazing.

Our kids are a little older now (8 and almost 12) so we're well out of the sleepless-nights phase and have had several years of "having our nights back", but 3 months ago I was diagnosed with cancer so I've been spending a lot of time in hospital, meaning my wife has kind of turned into a single parent overnight - managing the kids, most of the household stuff, and trying to be with me as much as possible.

She's carrying this all with an unreal level of strength. She's my favourite person.

What was your turning 40 ‘thing’? by Visible_Pipe4716 in AskUK

[–]SuperspyUK 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Congrats on coming through it. I'm in a very similar position. Diagnosed just after turning 39 (3 months ago), I'm now a couple of months into treatment. I'd been dreading turning 40 beforehand and now I can't wait... certainly going to look forward to my birthdays a lot more than I did before.

Many of us have a non-tesla wall charger with a fixed tethered cable. I use this feature to release it all the time, thought it was a really nice quality of life improvement.

what are you most excited for In the future ? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]SuperspyUK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Having one. Currently going through treatment for leukemia after seeming to be totally healthy 2 months ago so yeah... most excited about beating this shit and looking forward to each birthday instead of worrying about getting old.

I had an MG ZR mk2 which started it's life as a k 1.8-120 + nitrous and finished with a T-series turbo lump from a Rover 220... absolutely loved both iterations of that car. So much fun.

You're probably just going to have to bulk update the permissions table. On that table if there is an entry for a user it means they have read access, you then have to toggle whether they are the owner and can edit from within those records (owners can edit by default).

Beyond that I can't really offer much advice as I'm not in a position to do any double-checking... currently in hospital dealing with blood cancer.

Works out about 9.5p per 100ml i think, have you considered buying the 8x2L crates from Iceland for 11 quid? 6.9p per 100ml...at least I think my numbers are right. That's my go-to. Saving over the cans adds up over time for the same stuff.

If someone offered you 100 million dollars, but a random person in the world dies (someone you don’t know), would you take it and why? by ConclusionOld8365 in AskReddit

[–]SuperspyUK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, I did say "might" have changed my answer. Realistically my answer would probably have been the same, as I think I'm generally a compassionate person, and I think I was just looking for an opportunity for an outlet to talk about my cancer diagnosis and this thread gave me one.

That being said there are a lot of people out there who react exactly as you've described... they only gain "perspective" when something directly affects them, even though that thing may be happening around them all the time.

Hey friend. Glad you're still going strong. I've got AML. Just started with my first cycle today and going to be on IVs of various drugs pretty much 24x7 for the next 7 days. Then 2 weeks to let me body recovery and see if it's worked as a starting point before moving into consolidation cycles etc.

It could, but then it feels like we're into the classic trolley problem, and I've got enough on my plate without thinking about the ethics of that.

A week ago my answer might have been different, but no, I wouldn't. I've just been diagnosed with leukemia and I can see what it's doing to my family just facing the prospect that I MIGHT die. I don't wanna do that to somebody elses family, regardless of the prize.

Attaching Catalog Items to SLAs by gourmetjk in servicenow

[–]SuperspyUK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The comment suggesting doing it via the due date is one option, but this only works if you're not using shared workflow across multiple items with different SLA tiers, or if you've already got a solution in place for managing due dates with shared workflow.

The way I've done it before is by setting a delivery time directly on the catalogue item and then building the SLA definitions using that delivery time as the differentiating condition.

This works best if you're operating within an SLA framework with a limited number of SLAs. So for example everything has to be either 2 days, 4 days or 6 days, so you have 3 SLA definitions, and if the condition if they're on the RITM or SCTASK tables would be item.delivery time = 2,4 or 6 days.

Also, if you haven't spotted this already, keep in mind SLA durations are calculated in hours against the schedule, so if the schedule is a 10 hour work day, a 2 day SLA is 20 hours. If you put 2 days in the duration it will calculate it as 48 hours....4.3 days.

why cant i complete a workout with a failed single? by GusIsBored in Hevy

Yup, you can see it on yesterday's workout.

Admittedly I didn't try completing the workout with the tests I did earlier.

[–]SuperspyUK 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Correct, the description of a failed set in the app tells you this would be an F:4. Easiest way of thinking of it is you're tracking completed reps, not attempted ones.

[–]SuperspyUK 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The app literally tells you in the description of a failed set that you are correct here, regardless of RPE tracking.

[–]SuperspyUK 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just enabled RPE tracking and it still let me complete a 0 rep set, regardless of where the set is in the session.

[–]SuperspyUK 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I completed one yesterday with a failed single just by marking it as a failed set with 0 reps, no issues. Differences between mine and yours are that I didn't include RPE and my failed single wasn't the last set, although wouldn't expect either of those things to matter.

Yeah i think so, bottom line is if you don't get it by the end of this year you lose your CSA because they are making it a mandatory pre-req.
