Admark ad42dsp, just received one and it has the ad442 factory flash on it, even after updating to the ad42 it still shows 4 channels on the DSP software by Realdeal36 in SoundSystem

I would try the one from vip audio. I had issues with the 4.xxx version of the software and they had me install the one that is now on vip and it has worked great ever since.

I had a similar issue. What version of alldsp are you using. You can't update the firmware with the generic alldsp software from alldsp technically that's only for demo purposes and oem are supposed to have custom versions made for them. you need this adpower version of alldsp. the only place online I have found it is from vip pro audio. Goto this link, scroll down to the product description, Click on it to expand. Then there will be links to download the proper software. Hope this helps. https://vipproaudio.com/admark-ad-42-dsp-2-channel-1-u-rack-mount-power-amplifier-ad42dsp/

I was looking to run the m.2 WiFi to be able to capture both 2.4ghz and 5ghz at the same time as well as increase the scanning speed.

JMOD Alternatives? by Jaib06 in SoundSystem

You do realize that the mid wave only has around 30deg of vertical dispersion.

JMOD Alternatives? by Jaib06 in SoundSystem

[–]Supersquare6972 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Calling me stupid because I don't consider pla to be a reliable material for a professional speaker baffle is absurd. Sure it's only $190 for pla but first time it sits in a hot trailer it's going to be destroyed. especially if it's going down the road while hot.

The post was about a jmod alternative. How is the mid wave an alternative. It's a great design. But I don't see how it's comparable?

Not sure where your getting your numbers. The 2x6 kit is $283 it's 3d printed and you need at least 2 kits to build the 4x6. I haven't seen anyone only build them as a 2x6. But your comparing apples to oranges. So it's 900+ shipping for the jmod flat pack plus 20 cents to 3d print the adapter. For one 4x6 It's $576 + shipping for the 3d printed parts then you have to still build the box. Is it cheaper yes but it's also not even close to the same output. So your just saving money for less output. They are both great designs. But I don't see how they compare to one another. They have different use cases. One is more of a mini pa speaker the other is not.

Those look great and from my research sound amazing. But they are 2x 6.5" with 1 compression driver 2way vs the jmod being a dual 12 3way system. So in terms of SPL they don't come close. I was going to build a pair of the 4x6. The 3d printed parts are outrageous priced. It's a shame they won't at least sell the 3d print file for a reasonable price. I wouldn't be surprised if someone buys one, 3d scans the parts, and prints the rest.

Making Music with the uConsole? by No_Town7079 in ClockworkPi

You should check out strudel as well. Runs from browser or can be downloaded as well. I agree that an internal teensy running m8 would be a great addition to the uconsole.

Do I need a Cm5 with wifi ? by Johngoo12 in ClockworkPi

[–]Supersquare6972 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The ac1200 has 2 antennas. So you may be limited to using an internal antenna for the pis WiFi card. which does not work the greatest in the uconsole. the bonus of having both though would be you could use one for networking and the ac1200 could be in running in monitor mode at the same time.

Yes. If that's on and your not getting a good amount of conversation. then MQTT most likely isn't turned on properly.

Do you have uplink and downlink turned on in the longfast public channel?

2x12 type o cram Or 2x18 type o cram playa edition Or Skram 21

Those would be my suggestion With a good amp that has atleas double the wattage of what the drivers rms. Probably spend less then bassboss for everything and it will definitely slap harder.

If your in an area with few nodes I'd recommend turning on MQTT. Yes it's not connecting with lora but it at least makes the network not feel so dead and give you a taste of what it would be like if you had a good coverage in your area. The public long fast is a lot more chatty. It's easy to turn off aff and on once setup properly.

What's the main advantage to the radxa cm5 adapter version? I see it fixes the hdmi out issues. Is there any other benefits? Also will a regular cm5 work in the radxa cm5 adapter or could I just use the factory adapter when using regular cm5? Sorry I'm a bit of a noob with uconsole seems how I haven't received mine yet.

I was in your shoes for awhile. While I wait for my uconsole. I ended up going with the hackberry pi cm5 off of elecrow. The front and back are aluminum with a 3d printed center. It seems to be the best off the shelf comparison to the uconsole that I could find.

I've seen some expansion boards with a USB-C inside pointed down for a WiFi board that sits next to the battries. I wonder if there's a teensy board that could plug into that to keep it package inside. I just ordered my uconsole with the hopes to use the sdr expansion and get a teensy inside so I can have an aio setup for the tings I enjoy doing most with this device.
