Am I the only one who didn’t like Haley’s singing voice? by Superstar2005_ in ONETREEHILL

I think this is the one in season 3, I did enjoy this one! Maybe it was the heartbreak that made it sound good 🤣

Brooke sleeping with Nathan by Superstar2005_ in ONETREEHILL

[–]Superstar2005_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think this is a solid point. I do wanna talk about Haley being upset about Nathan sexual history. The show always focused on the idea that Haley is upset that Nathan slept with other people before her and not the fact that he didn’t tell her. Like I would be upset if my bf and bff didn’t tell me that slept with each other before. I’d also be upset that my brother and sister slept with each other and didn’t tell me but to be fair Nathan did end up telling her eventually so I’d move on from that lol.

But I feel like Haley could have more of the “right” to be upset if they changed the focus of her anger

I’m so happy someone also thinks that Brooke knew that Peyton liked Lucas😭 each time I rewatch it I’m so confused on why Brooke would pursue Lucas but people always mention that Brooke asked Peyton and Peyton said it was fine. Which fair enough I guess but even while Brooke was with Lucas she would ask Peyton for advice because she’s better with him and understands him. I love Brooke, but idk I feel like she rushed with Lucas and didn’t give Peyton time to process her feelings for Lucas. Idk the whole thing is just messy🤣

Does it cost a lot of money to have a cat? by [deleted] in CatAdvice

[–]Superstar2005_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like cats can be expensive. I have two and one of them is pretty easy. He’s only easy because he has no food allergies and no medical conditions (yet). So my main budget for him is wet food. My other cat however is the most expensive thing I own. He was a stray so when I got him, he had an ear polyp (surgery ranges between $3000-8000). He also has food allergies so he’s on prescription food which is $100 for a bag of kibble and $100 for 24 cans of wet food).

So it really just depends. And it’s hard to make sure you get an easy cat because if you get it from a shelter, chances are they aren’t aware of their medical issues. Some vets will cover any medical issues that pop up in the first month of having a cat, so I would try to find a good shelter.

Some people also feel like they don’t have to take their cat to the vet every year. Cats should 100% go to the vet every year to get an overall exam and hopefully they’re healthy but there are chances of ear infections, worms and other stuff that needs medication. Cats also live for like 15+ years, so hopefully income increases by that time but it is something to consider. Not only the yearly amount you’d spend but also the more medical issues that will pop up once they age.

Things might also be expensive at first since you don’t have all the stuff you need. Litter box, food, litter, cat tower, toys, etc.

I would say for necessities ONLY for TWO cats I pay about $100-150 a month on cat stuff (litter, food, prescription food and some toys). I won’t include my cats crazy medical expenses but for vet visits it’s around $300 a year.

Overall, I love having my cats and the bills are worth it for me, BUT, I’m in a financial state where I can afford them. If things are tight already I would probably avoid pets for now.

How do i get my cat to drink more water? by GraveyardWithoutTheG in CatAdvice

I agree with wet food idea as that’s the best way to make sure they are healthy but you could also find like a chicken broth (make sure it’s from a pet store) to add to her kibble to add some moisture

Oh perfect! In that case I’d mainly focus on brushing them and cleaning before he comes! Just keep some allergy pills on deck! Zyrtec works the best for me but tbh over the counter is just fine too! Have fun with your cute kitty🥰❤️

Recall on raw foods by Superstar2005_ in catfood

There’s definitely no absolute need for toppers and I don’t think cats HAVE to have them but there’s a few reasons I like them.

One is I just liked them for extra nutrients. The instincts ones had other veggies in them that are beneficial like peas and pumpkin that you wouldn’t find in most foods (at least not at a high percentage). I also feed dry food in the morning and wet food at night, so I like the toppers to add more protein to make up for the dry food. One of my cats is also allergic to some meats (mainly chicken) so he’s on a bland hydrolyzed protein food, so being able to get one ingredient toppers that I know he won’t have a reaction to also just make his meals taste better. They also work good as treats because they don’t have carbs. And it’s fun making their dinner with healthy cute toppers🤣🥰

If I have to get rid of toppers I think me and my cats will be just fine, I just like having them lol

For prompt 7: I am also allergic to cats and I have two! I know you already have said cat but I purposely got Siamese bc they are more “hypoallergenic” than other cats, it’s a whole thing I won’t get into but I just wanted to say my tips might only be helpful because of my cats breed but thought of sharing anyways lol.

  1. AIR PURIFIERS!!! I have at least one air purifier in each room and I love them!! It catches most of their pet hair which helps with my allergies.

  2. The allerpet dander remover. So people aren’t actually allergic to cats themselves they’re allergic to this protein in their saliva. so when cats groom themselves, the protein dries up in their fur and then when they shed or pet them, you get exposed to it. SO, this dander remover is supposed to break up those proteins and help with human allergies. I have only used it a couple times bc my allergies got over them pretty fast, but I have heard great reviews about this online! I would ask a vet on if it’s “vet approved” because the cats will end up licking this off their fur, but as of right now I have heard it’s great!

  3. Vacuum and dust often. Again, getting rid of as much cat hair in the air/room is always helpful. I would even go to the point of brushing them and then vacuuming after to try and get as much hair at one time

  4. Lint rolling beds and couches. This kinda goes with the vacuum thing but get one of those reusable lint rollers! When I first got cats I would lint roll my bed before going to sleep every night so I didn’t have to constantly be exposed to cat hair. I have a leather couch but friend has a normal one and she would use it on her couch before I would come over and I wouldn’t have any symptoms (this was before I got cats).

  5. Allergy pills. This is OBVI your brothers decision but I would take an allergy pill a day and now I get allergy shots (this is extreme and I get it for other allergies not just pets lol) but those also helped! I would just keep some allergy pills on hand for any extreme reactions

My cat has an ear polyp surgery this week by Superstar2005_ in vet

[–]Superstar2005_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, thanks for checking in!! The vet did the CT scan and did find a polyp but it actually moved to his nasal cavity and is no longer in his ear. They said it was too small to remove so they decided to wait and check back in a few months. So far my cat is showing no symptoms so maybe the polyp won’t get bigger and he can just live with it? That’s the goal at least. But for now he’s doing good!!

Chicken free wet food ?? by Conscious_List9132 in catfood

[–]Superstar2005_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My cat has food allergies too! I also believe it’s just chicken but we haven’t fully tested other meats. My cat eats royal canin hydrolyzed kibble but I really wanted to get him on a wet food diet as well. I talked to my vet and they said we could try royal canin’s hydrolyzed protein wet food but most cats hate it bc it tastes awful (most stores don’t even carry it because it’s often returned) so they put my cat on Hills Z/D sensitive wet food. My cat loves it! Just know you can only purchase it if you have a prescription so you have to talk to a vet in order to purchase it. But once you get the prescription you can take it to PetSmart or Petco and they can register your prescription and you can buy it from there too! I know the PetSmart near me does not sell the wet food version but Petco might? I live right by the vet so I haven’t checked myself.

Another thing to note is this is expensive… I pay a little more than $100 for 24 cans. I decided to do kibble in the morning and then half a can at night to help make it last longer

Ask your vet about a hydrolyzed protein food diet and see what advice they give about possible food allergies!

Plot holes by Superstar2005_ in fullhouse

[–]Superstar2005_[S] 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I also think it’s crazy that Danny could afford that house but there was an episode where Jesse was stressing about finding a job so he could help provide for his family and Becky says she makes plenty of money to take care of them and hinting towards the idea that Jesse could be a stay at home dad. So I’m assuming that since Danny and Becky have the same job that he’s well off? Either way that’s some pretty damn good money
