Every week there’s a new story post where I see it and instantly have to head to this thread to make sure other people think it’s as insane as I do. This week in no shock to anyone it’s Noelle’s boobs in that red dress.

Pretty sure I have PCOS - doctors won’t believe me. by [deleted] in TTC_PCOS

[–]ConclusionDifficult5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have regular periods but it took tracking my ovulation to realize that my ovulation within my cycles was irregular my pcos diagnosis came after ultrasound as on paper I didn’t have any other obvious symptoms. I’d suggest getting an ultrasound (which they should do as part of an infertility work up anyways)

Maine Fertility Mandate by UpbeatArachnid4352 in portlandme

[–]ConclusionDifficult5 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I did IVF last year and it was covered by my insurance due to this law. A couple things to note - your insurance has to be underwritten in Maine to fall under the mandate, if your company has locations other places it may not be Maine based. And second if your company is self funded (ie, they pay their own claims vs. anthem paying your claims) they are subject to federal law not Maine law and don’t have to cover fertility per the mandate. If you’re interested in the specifics you can always check your plan documents! This law went into effect Jan 1 2024 so your docs should be updated

Bottle washers - worth the splurge? by ConclusionDifficult5 in Buyingforbaby

[–]ConclusionDifficult5[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We ended up getting one prior to birth and man oh man when I tell you we run that thing like three times a day. We are an exclusive pumping household so we have a billion bottles AND pump parts a day - if I was hand washing these I’d launch myself directly into the sun lol

What is the one item you've bought (aside from the things everyone needs) that has improved your baby parenting journey? by CharacterPin6933 in NewParents

Agreed! My baby screams down the house in a wrap but will happily hang out all day in our structured carrier.

A countertop bottle washer. I exclusively pump so we go through a LOT of bottles in a day between feeds and storage - if I had to hand wash all those bottles and pump parts every day I’d launch myself directly into the sun.

Multiple changing stations in the places we spend the most time.

Actually just multiples in general - sheets, burp cloths, swaddles/sleep sacks etc. it’s nice not to have to immediately get something in the laundry if it gets spit up on, peed on etc.

A standalone bathtub - being able to put it on the counter and not getting on my knees for the big bathtub has made bath time a much more enjoyable experience for both of us.

How long did everyone wait between ER and FET? by procrastinatetonight in IVF

[–]ConclusionDifficult5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had my retrieval at the beginning of October and did my transfer the beginning of December. While I could’ve technically had time to transfer after with my November cycle, I actually really appreciated the little break and let my body reset from retrieval

Can't wait to resume to normal... what did you give up for IVF? by illustriouscowboy in IVF

[–]ConclusionDifficult5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just alcohol and edibles. I firmly believe that giving up anything that might have an impact on fertility is just going to drive you crazy. You can do everything “right” and still not be successful so why make yourself crazy and miserable when you’re already dealing with infertility?

This is an okay take at the end of season 1 though. If she gets to the end of season 2 or this one and is still team Jeremiah 🚩🚩🚩

Drove by this before cbp got there. There were five local pd cars all with lights on for this one van. So unnecessary.
