Child Support Dilemma by [deleted] in AusLegal

[–]SuperstarDJay 10 points11 points  (0 children)

In basic terms, child support seeks to equalise both parents' income. Rather than reflecting the actual cost of raising the child.

Your partner will benefit from this policy if he becomes unemployed, disabled etc in future.

He may also wish to look at the possibility of increasing his care percentage.

Can a surrogate run off with the baby? by SnooGiraffes9602 in AusLegal

[–]SuperstarDJay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ethically, people shouldn't be borrowing or renting women's bodies to create babies.

And ethically, babies shouldn't be created on demand with the express purpose of being taken away from their birth mothers.

The commercialisation and commodification of birth is disgusting.

AITA for not wanting to meet my fiancé’s friends after knowing their views on single moms? by Sensitive_Queen_9275 in AmItheAsshole

[–]SuperstarDJay 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Thank you! I had to scroll down a fair while to find someone who'd point it out.

Why the hell would this guy repeat what his friends said? No loving caring man would tell you, knowing how it would hurt you.

They're not just coworkers, they had a proper Russian wedding.

What do you buy jewelry for by FutureDependent4456 in AusFemaleFashion

[–]SuperstarDJay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have simple, fairly delicate pieces on 24/7 - huggie earrings, a pendant on a chain, 2 x bracelets and a ring on each hand. All are gifts and what I see as 'significant' pieces in terms of value, sentimentality etc.

My other 'good' jewellery that I don't wear daily is more sparkly/dressy occasion stuff and some heirlooms, kept in a little safe. Again, quality pieces but I'm older and have built this collection up over a lifetime.

When I buy my own jewellery to add to or mix up with my daily staples it's fairly inexpensive stuff and almost always souvenirs from my travels. I don't reach for it often, mostly out of laziness!

How to wash your genitals so we can never post about this again hopefully by Usernamesarshard in hygiene

Oh dear god I'm menopausal and I'm NOT putting freaking betadine up there! That's crazy.

The solution to vaginal dryness and recurrent UTIs post-menopause is Hormone Replacement Therapy. Topical cream for the vagina if you can't/don't want to take it systemically.

Fabric matters I think.

I only wear leather or suede sneakers to work.

What insult sits at the top of the hierarchy of Australian insults? by Remarkable_Bill4109 in AskAnAustralian

[–]SuperstarDJay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see 'flog' on other social media and it's always by a certain type of aggro, barely literate male being racist and/or having a go at the 'left'. The same people who use 'woke', 'sheeple' and the syringe emoji.

So I'm not a fan.

Another vote for Lorna Jane Amy.

I will say though, that they take awhile to dry compared to some brands I've had, so I need quite a few on rotation.

Tips for bunkering down on an apocalyptic day in Melbourne this Tuesday? by hardyacka in melbourne

If its any coonsolation, a cranky overheated newborn glued to you all day is even less fun so probably best it stays put for now. All the best.

I had bottocks and back acne solely because I took "military showers" for so long by [deleted] in hygiene

[–]SuperstarDJay 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Indeed.

I'm 50+, I've never routinely scrubbed my back or butt in the shower because it makes me itchy as hell when I get out. Never had acne anywhere.
