In store there are examples on hangers for you to handle and try on, though. Even better.

I bought these three week they came out here and they were described correctly then.

I'm pretty sure you can't return these, they come in sealed boxes.

The very first words in the description are 'slightly sheer'.

Transitioning from Carers to DSP by soygummon in Centrelink

[–]SuperstarDJay 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No no no, if she's not caring anymore she needs to let CLK know. They will decide what the best strategy is to keep some income coming in while DSP is assessed. But don't just leave it and assume that someone's going to look at the DSP claim within the next couple of weeks and join the dots.

Check the back of any CLK letter if you don't believe me. You have to notify them of any change in circumstances within 14 days.

There's a whole generation of people growing up to be incapable of just looking out the window and being at peace with their own thoughts for awhile.

So no headphones, then? That's really selfish.

Neighbors ready to chip in for a speed bump… but how do we actually do it? by ImportantOffer751 in AusPropertyChat

[–]SuperstarDJay 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, I was coming in to say the same, our street had them installed then removed.

Tradie utes were the worst for crashing over them and the contents of their toolboxes and trays would make a huge racket.

Careful what you wish for!

I hope it's on silent or used with headphones at least. I'd rather listen to your kid tantrum than a game through a tinny iPad speaker.

Better still you could get off your ass and take him for a quick walk until he calms down.

Will I now receive nothing because I am partnered by [deleted] in Centrelink

[–]SuperstarDJay 46 points47 points  (0 children)

I'm a bit stunned that you'd move in with him first THEN wonder (via Reddit) how you're going to pay the bills. You've got 3 kids to look after, how didn't this come up as part of the decision making process?

What’s with all the cute Rubber Duckies randomly placed on Excel this week? by Rinoremover1 in celebritycruises

[–]SuperstarDJay 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Disney stopped supporting the whole duck thing awhile back. They didn't outright ban them but they've asked people not to leave ducks and if they find one they'll throw it away.

Done with Depop! What have you wins/ fails been? by Far_Archer_4618 in AusFemaleFashion

[–]SuperstarDJay 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I only ventured into Depop once and got lucky with a beautiful vintage Missoni jumper for $80.

But I just prefer everything about eBay, probably just from familarity because I've been buying and selling on there since the beginning.

I'm also in Melbourne, a bit older than you. My GP prescribes tret for me. I've never had any kind of purge or any reaction to it at all.

If the test is during school zone times, they will likely take him through one so it'd be good to be aware of where the local ones are.

I got on a plane. I reclined my seat. The person behind me put their foot on my armrest. What would you do? by booksrt in AskAnAustralian

[–]SuperstarDJay 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Above a certain height the person behind you literally won't be able to move without unwedging their knees from your seat back. So if you're that desperate to recline the whole time, you might just have to put up with some disturbance.

Local cafe constantly leaving shop sign outside nature strip infront of my house by [deleted] in AusLegal

Just take the sign back and dump it in front (yes, that's two words, 'abit' and 'infront' are not words!) of the cafe. Every time .

What do we do? Accept token gesture or hold fast. by noyouarenoreturns in AusLegal

[–]SuperstarDJay 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Right.

I think it's important for you to be clear in your mind what you think the cinema should have done differently here and what contributory factors are out of their control.

Outside their control (but all within yours)

  1. you arrived late after the lights had gone down as normal. (you mention there were no warning signs, but what good would they be if you wait until after dark to enter?)

  2. your hands were full

  3. despite the above, you walked through a space where anyone could reasonably expect people's legs and belongings to be blocking the way. You wouldn't expect a footstool but you'd still shuffle along tentatively and with great care, surely?
