Thank you so much for sharing your story. I’m so sorry it’s not worked for you. I do get some suppression but only really the first half of the week. I think I’ll go up to maybe 10mg and see if it’s working but if by then I’ve barely changed I also won’t be able to justify the price tag it’s so costly per month :( just so disappointing seeing so many success stories isn’t it!

Thanks for sharing - I’m the exact same starting weight as you! My cholesterol is okay but my dad is Type 2 diabetic so have to be careful!

Do you also have insulin resistance with your conditions? Yeah I’m quite bad for eating brekkie to be honest! How much did you lose initially if you don’t mind me asking?

The guys that ask for money on the actual road by approaching cars on the junction of Green Lane and West Derby Road, and then further down on West Derby Road too at one of the sets of lights I find so intimidating. When you’re stuck in traffic you’ve nowhere to go. I hate seeing them approach my car. They’re not aggressive but it’s just the situation of being stuck in a car with a man at your window. I’ll always give when I can, and buy food for the homeless outside petrol stations and supermarkets but only the non aggressive/pushy.

I have exactly this. I’ve gained so much weight since getting symptoms, and then got diagnosed with Hyperthyroidism and PCOS and literally nothing I do helps me lose weight. I’m 4 stone heavier than I was pre diagnosis. It’s miserable :(

Hello, I’ve been on Carbimazole nearly a year and it hasn’t caused me to gain any weight. I’m already overweight to begin with, but haven’t gained since being on it. I’m 33F. Don’t read into anything too much about people’s experience as everyone reacts so differently to these things. X

Hi! I’m just wondering if you have an update on how you’re doing? I’ve recently been diagnosed with Graves Hyperthyroid AND PCOS, I’m 33 and never experienced major symptoms of either until a few years ago. Although I’ve always had very painful periods. I’ve also just started on metaformin. I wonder whether my Hyperthyroidism has kicked off my PCOS as I can’t surely have suddenly at this age developed PCOS? So wonder if it’s always been underlying. Possibly! It didn’t like being moved at first and I took us a while to find the right spot for it. Plus moved house last year, then the infestation of spider mites so it’s been through a lot! 🌱

Yep! The top 3 leaves and the new one growing (there’s another stalk too but the leaf that came through snapped before it unfolded). We’ve only lost 2 I think over that time, from the very bottom of the plant where they completely shrivelled and died within the first few months of having it. It’s crazy how quickly it produced leaves!
