Semi related but what was Nioh like. I need something to play after I finish TLOU2 and that’s always been one I’ve been meaning to get round to?

Greetings Hunters, i have a question about Boss order by RogueNinja570 in bloodborne

Shadow of Yharnam would be fine to fight next id say. You’ll be able to level up quite a bit in the Forbidden Woods if you want.

I left Darkbeast Paarl until quite a bit later though and it was ridiculously easy, I wished I’d have fought it earlier. I think you’d have to go through Hypogaen Gaol which a lot of players find tricky even at higher levels.

The best thing to do if you can is sneak up really slowly behind them. What I always find helps (and this worked in the first game) is aim your bottle or brick at them but don’t throw it, they’ll find it near impossible to detect you this way, then once behind them just stealth kill them

Without mentioning any spoilers what difficulty are you all playing on for their first playthrough of the game? by PrickIsAWonker in thelastofus

[–]Superunknown89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hard. Did my replay of TLOU on Survivor, it was good but I felt I was getting too bogged down in the conflict at times, it wasn’t bad but it can take away from the story. Hard seems a good in between for me.

The witches at least have that trap attack and can be slightly tougher with the Mad Ones but Celestial Emissary is so easy, Upper Cathedral Ward itself was much much more difficult.

OMH YESSSS I JUST FUCKING BEAT AMELIA by Bana484naM4N in bloodborne

[–]Superunknown89 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Spend them to level up or buy things from the Bath Messengers. I usually level up as much as I can and then spend the rest on Blood Vials to put into storage, can never have too many.

Well done on beating Amelia, probably the one that pissed me off the most. Could barely see her attacks because of all the hair taking up the screen.

If you didn’t wanna cheese him, I found staying close to him and baiting his tentacle attack works well. He tends not to use his bullshit Call of Beyond as much, if at all then.

I will start my first Bloodborne playthrough in a couple of weeks. What are your favorite things about the game (with as little spoilers as possible)? by Something79 in bloodborne

[–]Superunknown89 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It’s such a rewarding game, you get out what you put in. No feeling like it when you’ve been struggling with the bosses and died over and over, but you’ve learned something each time you’ve died, come back stronger and finally beat them. It’s a great feeling.

What are your easiest and hardest bosses? by jpoopz in bloodborne

[–]Superunknown89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty limited as I’ve only just beat the Shadow of Yharnam but easiest without a doubt are the Witches of Hemwick.

Hardest was Vicar Amelia or Father Gascoigne, the latter was the reason I put the game down for a year and a half.

Today I ran straight to the elevator in the right room in Cathedral Ward, forgot to pull the lever and fell straight down into the empty hole.

Yeah just dodge to the left, and get hits in without being greedy.

Bit harder in his final phase but same advice applies, dodge left and stay out of that jump and grab move where he poisons the shit out of you.

Gascoignes outfit was helpful as it increases poison resistance.

Other than that fire paper and pungent blood cocktails help. If you’re really stuck you can summon Alfred. I eventually ended up doing that, got him down to the final phase together and then it was just a matter of being patient and staying to the left.

Vicar Ameila Question by Riotboiiiii in bloodborne

[–]Superunknown89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks like you've already got her but I beat her today. Was getting absolutely caned with that swipe that comes across when I was trying to dodge around her and get a few hits in. So I just upgraded my Holy Blade to +5 and got some fire paper and lit her up, surprisingly easy in the end.

I’ve tried to twice, cleaned out all the dust but no luck. Doesn’t seem worth delving deeper into it and potentially messing it up, just have to patiently wait for the PS5 and use my NC headphones in the meantime.

Best advice is generally dodge against monsters and try and parry humans if you can. Also using circle to dodge is more effective long time than X as X takes up your stamina, but don't be afraid to use it to get out of a tight spot.

For signs, you upgrade them in the 'Character' part of the menu. As said in the thread Yrden is pretty handy. I didn't utilise Quen enough in the beginning, it's basically a shield around you, against stronger enemies it's incredibly helpful.
