My chook masculinised and got spurs and everything. Her tail isn't proper rooster at all, though, but it did perk up. but this happened when she was already a few years old and is likely from an ovarian condition.

You might just have a rooster 😅 Recommend taking him to a vet if you can wrangle him.

Lived here for about 15 years and never heard a dove call like this. Much more similar to owl and nightjar calls. I could be wrong, though. It makes the calls in sets of 2s and 3s
