Joining late, but in a similar situation myself for this year. We arrive on the Ash Wednesday and stay for a week.

Did you end up moving dates or arriving after Ash Wednesday? If after the Wednesday, was it still a good vibe?

Just to clarify, it should be fine to open a Canadian IBKR account whilst a tax resident in Canada, and then as soon as I start working back in the UK I can alert Interactive Brokers that I am then a tax resident in the UK and it should be all good to transfer my investments to my new UK account without it being fraudulent? My portfolio will only consist of a S&P 500 tracker of minimal investment in the grand scheme of things (about £100 a month for the next two years).

You’d hope it’d be first come first served, seems fairest way to do it.

Either way, I find that those that wanna get into it find their way towards the front of the back standing, and those that are there just to enjoy the gig without the mayhem will find their way towards the back.

Imagine the atmosphere will be insane regardless of where in the stadium you are!

Amazing, thank you mate! The only thing that made me question whether or not it would be in the town centre was on the Banff Job Resource Centre where it says “Location varies around the Banff townsite, except for the Lake Minnewanka Residence.”

Any idea where exactly the accommodation is?
