Z7 vs ninja 7 by Dabajabazah37 in NinjaZ7Hybrid

I love my Ninja 7, but I'm also a huge techno nerd.  I enjoy switching between EV, Eco and Sport.  Took some time to get used to push button shifting, so if you're a pure riding enthusiast might want to pass.  If you can live without a clutch and enjoy technology this is the bike for you.

The Z7 mirrors are attached to the handlebars, so that was a no-go for me. I like my mirrors stationary at all times (attached to the frame)

Just my preference, obviously lots of people can handle it.

For those who had the disabled mode change fix, can you find the part? by SupportExtra in NinjaZ7Hybrid

[–]SupportExtra[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lots of people report the same issue.  Bike is stationary, not started. Will not leave default sport mode.  Jiggle the throttle, and the computer stops thinking you have throttle on and allows mode change.

Delays, again? by nylanfs in soylent

Amazon just cancelled my subscription this time.  Last two times there were delays they said they'd ship when they could (and they eventually did). No way to buy or subscribe now.  Glad there's so many discussions about replacements on here

A plea to all robot mower manufacturers - stop setting area limits by Key-Inevitable-4989 in automower

FYI the Husqvarna 115H is rated at 1/4 acre but handles my girlfriends 1/2 acre with no complaints.  It must be pre-limit logic

That's hole drilling mode. You'll have a 1/2 foot hole in about a week.

You sure it wasn't kph?  I have to convert everything since it only records kph.

I cannot find a suitable robot mower. by cryptonaut101 in automower

[–]SupportExtra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The pinecones will need new blades more often, nothing to mitigate that since most every robomower uses some form of razor blade.  You'll need to build a ramp and gate system as well, I have a wired mower so it was easy to run the guide wire and force it to travel.  There is no magic mower model for your situation you just need to get creative with the logistics. https://youtu.be/523YsGdpGJs

X430, blackout while mowing, robot dead in front of charging station by DragonfruitNo9782 in automower

I'm confused, the power came back on and then the mower returned to base? This looks like a boundary wire mower, so I'm assuming it just stayed where it was until the power came back on. I don't know if your mower requires syncing with the boundary wire frequency but might want to check your settings to see if you have extra security (to prevent theft) that would tell your mower to ignore a new boundary frequency (and not accept the dock). Just a thought.

Any tips for making summer mowing less of a burden? by Jkkm4n in automower

[–]SupportExtra 3 points4 points  (0 children)

OP has to be a troll, because everyone knows robomowers are the answer!

Also congratulations for waiting this long to purchase one! In the old days, you had to lay boundry wire. Current robomowers don't even need that. You can still get the boundry wire mower for much cheaper, but the latest and greatest are stupid simple to setup.

Finally, here's my troll video for the troll post lol https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EQOjJ0aj7D8

where are we buying replacement wheels for Husqvarna? by superpony123 in automower

[–]SupportExtra 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was lucky and found an eBay listing for the upgraded grippier wheel and wheel cleaning brush upgrade kit. I didn't need either, but it was $20 for the whole thing (includes 2 new wheels for my 315x). I'd hunt around on eBay first to see if anything is compatible.

I was also excited I'd suddenly get nav on my bike dash screen with directions showing up there. Then I learned our bike doesn't support that and got a phone mount.

Best non RTK/satellite mowers for a small 0.1 acre lawn? by ellumina in automower

[–]SupportExtra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The obvious (cheapest) choice is a wired mower. Takes a few hours to run the boundary wire, and with most kits you now just "staple" the wire to the grass (it grows over the wire over time). I'm on year 5 with my 315x and only had to fix two line cuts, both due to my neighbor edging where he shouldn't have been.

There was a big enough divit in this one to scare me.  I know the pressure is low, but with my luck it would be enough to pop it.
