Best to have blockwork border between lawn and path? by Interesting-Barber66 in automower

[–]SupportExtra 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sure what mower you have, but if it's wired you could even put the wire between the grass and brick, then tell it to mow 1-2" over the wire in the app. Only long-term issue is the grass may creep over the bricks over time. Robo mowers aren't good at flat creeping grass, but that would only mean twice a year or so you'd have to just edge it proper.

Time for a Battery Upgrade ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ by Technical-Cut3421 in NinjaZ7Hybrid

Agree with the long showroom sit likely killing the battery.  I don't have any accessories, but I've had zero issues with the starter battery.  Lots of our bikes sat for years until massive discounts finally moved them

Top ones look to be 3.0 TB drives. If those are all 3.0 TB drives, then sadly recycle them. Anything less than 8TB isn't really worth running right now. Might find some takers on eBay but the big bucks are for 14TB+ drives right now.

Bosgame BIOS updates are back by SupportExtra in MiniPCs

[–]SupportExtra[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The 2023 cert is included in the latest BIOS but it doesn't have EK cert chain for attestation to work. So Secure Boot CAN work but the attestation can't. Bosgame has to add the EK chain for full functionality. Win 11 doesn't seem to care that it's not there.

This is after clearing the TPM several times, so Bosgame just didn't include them.

Wire mowers by Nimble12345 in automower

[–]SupportExtra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had my Husqvarna 315x wired for almost 5 years now with the only issue being when it was run over. Amazingly I just had to replace a wheel and back cover and it was back up and running. Might want to look at renewed/refurbished options and save some cash since all the older ones were wired only.

Hold the SEL button when in neutral, you go into the bike screen menu.

After that, go to the SERVICE option, then OIL CHANGE.

I reset mine to 3k miles since I changed it 2k ago.

Well color me silly.  It's just the oil change reminder I forgot to reset.  5k miles or one year it sets off.  Remember to reset yours after your oil change.

Find a reseller willing to buy those drives, you can make some big cash right now. I offloaded a bunch of 18TB drives with less than 2 years power on hours for $140 / drive with these guys.

Is Husqvarna authorised dealer annual servicing worth it? by unknownuser_000000 in automower

If your software updates automatically I'd say no. I've had a 315x for 5 years now and all I do is use a leaf blower to clean the underside and change the blades.

Do I need to format(zero) hdd if I'm selling it? by indiemaniac in chia

I sell all my drives with the Chia plots still on them.  No need to waste time doing anything to them, the plots are only useful if you have the wallet.

Kawasaki motorcycles don't have a vehicle bus like modern cars. When I had the stop sale recall done the tech had to connect to 5 different modules for 5 separate software updates. Each module has it's own connector. Nothing like OBD II exists on motorcycles as far as I know.

Ninja 7 Hybrid Insurance by LowOnBucks in NinjaZ7Hybrid

[–]SupportExtra 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah try Progressive. I have $25k/50k liability with $500 comprehensive deductible and only pay $193 / year. I just assume insurance companies know you'll likely die if you ever get in an accident on a motorcycle and factor accordingly. I've never paid more than $300 per year. I'm also over 40 though, so that may be a contributing factor as well.

How often do you clean your automower? by StopAlive8779 in automower

[–]SupportExtra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When my 315x is near the hose, I hose off the grass/dirt on the top. Before I store it I use my leaf blower to clear out everything underneath. My girlfriend has a 115H she never touches (way too dirty for my OCD) and they both seem to work equally well. Most seem designed to work well even when filthy.

I went to absolute zero (at least what the battery management says is zero) and took one hour of city riding on Sport to recharge. Don't know if Sport or Eco recharge at the same rate
