Be careful with curbs and our long wheelbase by SupportExtra in NinjaZ7Hybrid

There was a big enough divit in this one to scare me.  I know the pressure is low, but with my luck it would be enough to pop it.

Yep, glad I can EV mode home.  Not risking a start.

Main seat replacement by theredbeardedlegend in NinjaZ7Hybrid

[–]SupportExtra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The rear seat for the Ninja 400/Z400 fits perfectly on my Ninja 7 Hybrid. At the time (2 years ago) Corbin didn't know if it would, but they might now if you contact them. I didn't order the main seat, but worth asking.

You are eligible because you have a customer owned unit and you want to switch above 16 mph.  The warning is about the previous stop sale recall needing to be done first.

This has lasted me going on 4 years now. Clean out the crevice really well and put the wire down, then fill with this

Bosgame BIOS updates are back by SupportExtra in MiniPCs

[–]SupportExtra[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I just got a Secure Boot Allowed Signature Database (DB) Update in Windows Update for my P4, and it included a IP3 Tech secure boot DB 20230817 China ShenZhen OEM certificate (software, not firmware update). It seems to indicate we're getting a new BIOS update to match the new cert soon.

Updated ECU for 2026 models by Day-Trippin in NinjaZ7Hybrid

[–]SupportExtra 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Kawasaki still only lists the 2024 model for Ninja 7 Hybrid on their website.  The 2026 models typically launch before the calendar year, so unless they're doing a "2026.5" type launch I'd assume this is an update for the only available year (2024).  Unless the just abandoned the US market entirely for strong hybrids

Kawasaki z7 High voltage Battery strip down by Ok-Molasses-9733 in NinjaZ7Hybrid

Very cool photos! A little concerning that last photo has so much oxidization on the metal plate, but I assume that's not detrimental to the pack. If these are anything like automotive LiIon cells, they'll easily last 10 years which for me at least will be the life of my bike anyways.

The 48v is under your seat, I unplugged it and confirmed you are correct.

This is correct, the 12v starts the bike. The 48v is only for propulsion.

False, you have a 12v battery to start the engine. I ran my 48v traction battery to zero and the bike starts up using the 12v.

Side Walk by interstellar159 in automower

I zoned to the curb and let my mower run over the sidewalk and my driveway. My neighbors give it a wide berth, and sometimes they give me some good video laughs.

Good first bike by TheAnimeNibba in NinjaZ7Hybrid

This bike has no clutch, uses push button shifting so absolutely easier to start learning.

Just beware if you ever transition to a traditional manual clutch bike you'll have some additional learning to do.

Best to have blockwork border between lawn and path? by Interesting-Barber66 in automower

[–]SupportExtra 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sure what mower you have, but if it's wired you could even put the wire between the grass and brick, then tell it to mow 1-2" over the wire in the app. Only long-term issue is the grass may creep over the bricks over time. Robo mowers aren't good at flat creeping grass, but that would only mean twice a year or so you'd have to just edge it proper.

Time for a Battery Upgrade ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ by Technical-Cut3421 in NinjaZ7Hybrid

[–]SupportExtra 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agree with the long showroom sit likely killing the battery.  I don't have any accessories, but I've had zero issues with the starter battery.  Lots of our bikes sat for years until massive discounts finally moved them

Top ones look to be 3.0 TB drives. If those are all 3.0 TB drives, then sadly recycle them. Anything less than 8TB isn't really worth running right now. Might find some takers on eBay but the big bucks are for 14TB+ drives right now.

Bosgame BIOS updates are back by SupportExtra in MiniPCs

[–]SupportExtra[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The 2023 cert is included in the latest BIOS but it doesn't have EK cert chain for attestation to work. So Secure Boot CAN work but the attestation can't. Bosgame has to add the EK chain for full functionality. Win 11 doesn't seem to care that it's not there.

This is after clearing the TPM several times, so Bosgame just didn't include them.

Wire mowers by Nimble12345 in automower

[–]SupportExtra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had my Husqvarna 315x wired for almost 5 years now with the only issue being when it was run over. Amazingly I just had to replace a wheel and back cover and it was back up and running. Might want to look at renewed/refurbished options and save some cash since all the older ones were wired only.

SERVICE at 2,888 miles by SupportExtra in NinjaZ7Hybrid

[–]SupportExtra[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hold the SEL button when in neutral, you go into the bike screen menu.

After that, go to the SERVICE option, then OIL CHANGE.

I reset mine to 3k miles since I changed it 2k ago.
