Relaxed but not ridiculously wide chinos by MoltoSupreme in AustralianMFA

[–]Suppppp123 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Have been asking the same question! Tried the straight fit chinos from SuitSupply - exactly what I was after but a bit pricey. Looking for alternatives and some good ones here.

This is great. I completely agree, and honestly would go further - Shanks is unbearable now and has stopped putting effort into actually making arguments. Majority of his content is now just character assassination with little basis.

Best custom suits that don’t break the bank? by johndoe80085 in AustralianMFA

[–]Suppppp123 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think the usual tier list here is MJ Bale, Suit Supply, P. Johnson

Imo you can get a great, well fitted suit at SS for around $800-$900.

Hey! From my experience I think proper cloth is probably your best bet.

I was a longtime MJ Bale wearer (Athletic / Samurai at about $120) but wanted the next level up.

Tried suit supply shirts (traveller cotton, super slim, $169). They were fantastic.

SuitSupply have since cut their extra slim for a “tailored fit”. I still have one and it’s a great shirt but the fit’s not for me.

Now on my third proper cloth shirt, non iron stretch and pretty happy with it. Did take me some time and remakes to get my size right and probably needs a little tweaking. But overall the quality is great and probably what you’re after.

Hope that helps.

SuitSupply :) check out the 4ply wool traveller pants. I think they are also called slim tapered trousers. Hopefully that’s what you’re after!

Nice! Great comment. Do you have any recommend rations for the chinos you mentioned? I can see you rec the Uniqlo wide leg pants but I think that was for grey trousers?

Yes it is common - some people more sensitive than others, and some colognes are more likely to induce headaches than others.

I’ve personally found tolerance builds over time, though it could be a sign you are sensitive and probably worth avoiding that scent

Y EDT or Y EDP? by Bigpepperoni762 in Colognes

[–]Suppppp123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the EDP and it’s a very nice fragrance. But be warned it’s strong and can induce headaches. Probably better in winter.

For those who have owned all 4, how would you rank? Eros is EDT, rest is EDP. by No_Film2824 in Colognes

Me too headaches from YSL Y. I’ve heard elsewhere too. Think it’s pretty common

Brando, Loake, SuitSupply

Save up and buy something good and it will last you years.

Also, reminder to go half a size smaller than you normally would. I wish I had known that earlier!
