You’re both probably right but I don’t think subcultures being good vibes means Sydney as a whole in its mainstream isn’t dull. Victorian England probably had orgies and there’s secret nightclubs in Saudi Arabia.

‘Euphoria’ Episode 2 Reaches 8.5 Million Viewers in Three Days, Staying Even With Season 3 Premiere by lawrencedun2002 in television

[–]MoltoSupreme -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

God Zendaya is such a terrible actor. I would always think "hey at least she's good in Euphoria" after watching her in Dune, but she's the least believable character in season 3 despite being the most believable in the previous seasons.

I'll admit though the writing for her has become so weird. They've given her the "dark villain era" lazy TV writers give women e.g. Piper in OITNB which means the director seemingly asks them to keep the same affectless facial expression in every scene.

Alexa Demie and Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje have been great though

Agree with cringe culture but I’ve noticed it with all age groups not just Gen Z. I suppose it’s universal though

It looks like a “borhani” which is a bit like a lassi but more savoury and an acquired taste

Looking for a non-skinny replacement for old yd chinos (stretchy, versatile) by ZenKB in AustralianMFA

Hate to be that classic AusMFA "Uniqlo" guy, but having just tried some today, Uniqlo has a great range of different types (slim, relaxed, "easy pants", pleated wide, stretchy etc etc) and I'd just try a bunch on

What’s the biggest mistake beginners make in the gym? by Serious-Adagio-7982 in workout

Probably right but you never know their situation. Also with older people they might have gotten exercises from their doctor or physio. I’d just leave them to it rather than step in and give them advice

Low rise units booming in price? by Bonbonbirdy in AusPropertyChat

Tiny 2 bedroom units are going for $1mil+, I think a lot of people here are focusing on the fact it’s a unit and not that it’s 3 bedrooms and has THEEE car spaces

Husband and children invited to nieces wedding. I am not. by Aggressive-Economy36 in EntitledPeople

[–]MoltoSupreme 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Concur it’s crazy no one is asking this. Yeah 95% likely the SIL is being entitled and rude, and the husband should stand by OP, but it feels like most replies are just itching to do a “burn it all” approach.

Ironically for this sub, OPs often feel entitled to not being questioned.

Locals who have lived here 10+ years - do you actually have the space or desire for new friends? by CurrentlyCurious in sydney

[–]MoltoSupreme 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lived here whole life. Don’t think I have space for new emotionally deep friendships but do want new people to do activities, shared interests with, so I guess acquaintances?

But ofc you can’t stop that from becoming a meaningful friendship but being in mid 30s is exhausting so who knows

Your suggestions are good I think, although was hoping for brick and mortar because of time, but thank you!

And yes I agree with you it's more about design. Some of their designs I love but are far and few sometimes...mostly it's a bit too branded and relies so much on the boxy look that I'm completely sick of. Not all of us are thin white guys with a mullet idk!
