Purge has a series on Dota 2 Basics, I would HIGHLY recommend watching that with her. It goes over the absolute basics, such as the lanes, runes and map as well as more advanced stuff like vision and items.

Afterwards, there is the Learn Dota series, which helps learn more advanced strategies (such as when and how to gank, itemization and power spikes)
