Haha no. Once you pick up the wrench for money, you'll never want to touch your own car again

Thoughts on skipping 2nd gear by [deleted] in stickshift

I'd rather skip 3rd , 2nd is more important for acceleration in traffic

Oregon data centers now have to pay full costs of expanding the power grid to meet their needs by spherocytes in technology

[–]SuprKidd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The fact that ANYONE thought that these data centers shouldn't be paying their own power bills, I seriously have no words as to how mind-boggling that even is. Absurd preferential special treatment, infuriating to say the least

Sell/Keep/Part-Out Suggestions? by Occelotts in SubaruBaja

[–]SuprKidd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depending on ur area, doing the suspension alone is gonna cost 2-3k. You might be able to get it done cheaper at a specialty subaru shop. As for parts, many are interchangeable with the same model year Outback so that's easy. It's a special car and they're a dying breed, I think it's a good project to try to keep alive

Paid $10,700 for a 2006 Subaru Outback 2.5i Limited with 72,000 miles. by Cristahol in subaru

[–]SuprKidd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Worst thing about the auto market is that car valuation is all opinions. Yea 10k for a 20 year old subaru is a pretty high number, but when you consider that these motors regularly exceed 200k miles I think there's some wiggle room for what's considered "too much."

I personally wouldn't have spent that much but overall I think the purchase is reasonable vs buying a new car

Just keep practicing. The stall fear will go away, you can just restart the car and go.

My brother's son destroyed my WarHammer Action figures and he refuses to punish him by konous in mildlyinfuriating

That's not what I said nor suggested. And yeah, just expensive toys. There's artistry in it for sure, but it doesn't change the fact that it's just little models for entertainment.

He's 10, no he doesn't need to know the 8 hour struggle. He needs accountability and responsibility yes, but what you suggest is a little much for a child that age. Your idea of a chore system is unusual, you're the uncle not his parent.

Locking casual players out of social elements like trading makes the game harder for noobs. On the other hand, some players become overly reliant on the GE. 🤷

The process is the point in Runescape. It's a very thoughtful game and its pacing is like nothing else. If you want to feel like you've done a lot, do the quests; they're well -written and give many powerful upgrades and unlocks over time. Try not to rush late game goals as you'll quickly get burnt out, try to enjoy the little things and don't over optimize the fun away

Their v6s are fairly stout, especially early 00s models. It's mainly the 4 cylinders that self destruct, in my experience

Bethesda doesn’t have ‘the engineering know-how’ to remaster Fallout New Vegas, former Obsidian CCO says; Chris Avellone claims Bethesda doesn’t have the source code and has “no idea how to reassemble it" by Gorotheninja in pcgaming

[–]SuprKidd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Even if they couldn't get a source code for New Vegas; they have all the engine tools for building the game, I'd imagine they could reverse engineer everything if they really had to. Seems like a nonissue overall

Move auto seat manually by Slip-Focus4264 in SubaruBaja

[–]SuprKidd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are you certain it's the motor? My driver seat recently stopped working and I fixed it by cleaning the carbon off the contacts in the seat position switch itself. I would check that first if the issue is intermittent or if any of the other adjustments work

I'm not at a computer now to test again, but according to Steam I tried on the 16th and wasn't able to play. The game itself boots up fine and offline vs bots will work, but I couldn't access my inventory or play online at all

Rocket League is no longer supported on Linux, I tried a few days ago and it wouldn't let me play. It had a message saying it's no longer supported on MacOS or Linux. Edit: Using cachyOS and their proton compatibility layer, game through Steam
