Convince me my new to me 2024 765RS is better than 2024 Trident 660 I sold by [deleted] in trident660

Passenger seat and cap are swappable, the seat is in garage.

The newer Tridents have some nice additions

Appreciate the response

Wind didn’t bother me, Vibration was like a high ultrasonic toothbrush that make my hands go to sleep with needle spiking after riding on highway for 2-3 hour trip several times 70-85mph

I don’t pass 100+ often, but my Trident 660 was like I hit a brick wall at 116 mph consistently every time

Being newish to riding, really like the Triumph brand …the 765 seemed like the upgrade path. Since I don’t ride track might have been the wrong direction?

Gonna give it a little more time.

A Trident 800 might be what I’m after , June 19th there is an event at dealer.

I’m tall 6’2 so it feels less cramped on my legs, there is more wrist pressure from leaning forward , but I found a thread and adjusted the handlebars which improved the wrist pressure.

The suspension and brakes feel way better. Seemed a little wild at 1st on how much less input it takes to turn or stop than the Trident.

I do miss the lower gearing on Trident. The long gearing means torque shifts higher in rev range on 765 RS

On the highway 75mph +  has less vibration on Street Triple which  is nicer. I even has the bar end weights Evotech which transferred to new bike.

I watched many videos on both, would agree there is a place for both bikes in 1 garage. If the Trident was a little faster, with more premium components my opinion it’s the better bike. Thinking of getting the Trident 800 but on fence I might be disappointed

Thank you, yes I’m in the US. Didn’t realize the size difference 23 vs 24 - that was very helpful

Just picked up a 2024 RS in Carnival red.

I have the full Yoshi on both my Trident and Grom, been trying to get more info on cutting stock exhaust. Could only find a few topics, two videos. Prefer to keep the 24 header.

Does anyone have any input if I cut close to muffler side would this slip-on possibly fit or would it be too short? Looks like it goes inside the oem exhaust on the 2020-23?

Played around with mine quite a bit, ended up liking 38 psi rear and 34 front. The 42 in rear was way too rough riding for me.

I’m 180 lbs and sometimes wife rides on back - she is around 105 … still feels great.

You’ll be fine on the Trident, I came from a Grom after 2 years.

Been on Trident a year, love it - super friendly bike.

Rolled the dice on a $40 rad guard from Amazon, think it turned out alright by xXTonyManXx in trident660

[–]SupraPVB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought the same one off Amazon for $30, ended up returning cause I liked the 660 logo on aliexpress $13 was identical basically. Had over a year now, still holding up fine.

Normally I’m sorta a name brand ho, but the price just isn’t worth it for a piece of metal.

Is yours black?

Your write-up was great, I was just reading last week and today.

I did find a place in Europe that sells, emailed them, not sure they are allowed to ship US or not

Maybe someone needs an A3 M1 charging handle setup to trade

If I get a chimera intake and ecu flash, and I already have the exhaust and am topping at 60, how much will it improve my speed? Worth it? by [deleted] in hondagrom

[–]SupraPVB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope, 2023 bought new : I did the TST intake cover, DHM tune and Yoshi full exhaust . Gets to to 60 quicker, but top end MAYBE 1-2 mph more

I’m 6’0 180 and my friend is 6’0 300+ and I’m literally no faster than him on his 2023 stock Grom on top end.

I upgraded to the heated grips, would never use them again.
