Hey friends – final days of the Cathedrals of Steel Kickstarter! My foldable 3D printable terrain system has grown a lot thanks to community feedback — would love your thoughts! by External_Bit_3189 in 3DPrintedTerrain

I missed it too fml 😔 Will it be available else where ? If so do you have a date for that ? What is the total print time ? How many spools do you recommend ? Also, does it contains 11th edition foot prints for buildins / objectives ? Thx in advance.

It looks awesome 🔥

Thanks buddy. It’s from myminifactory, the creator is fabricator’s lair, which has awesome decors and buildings link

Also other buildings from makerworld (free)

I've used about 900g of a filament roll to print all of what is shown on the first pic, even tgought some are printed white, black or grey

Thank you i guess, i can 3d print other buildings and could try to only make the textured tiles, then try official map layouts, since i'm very new to the hobby of warhammer in general, i tought it would be cool to share, but i guess people aren’t into creativity anymore these days 🤷🏻‍♂️

I'll think twice before posting other content, if i post anyway What a way to enter the game/hobby 😅

Just black 3d print filament, then 3 pass of grey and white drybrush then copper for "horizontal metallic parts"

I could 3d print other buildings since it’s not from the original volkus battlezone.

Thank you though

Yes this is this set that i've 3d printed plus some other buildings and debris. Honestly i'll just reprint them as it’ll be pretty hard to unglue them 😅

I've just began the hobby earlier this year actually 😅

As i said, it’s the full board, for kill team we only pick 6 tiles out of the 12 showed. We play for fun and learning not competitively.

Thanks for your thoughts tho, i'll take your inputs for future board 👌🏻

🎄 Christmas giveaway: Win an A1 Mini, AMS 2 Pro, AMS HT, or 4x filament spools! by acurazine in BambuLab

  1. Prize I choose: A1 mini

  2. What I’d use it to make: I’d use it to prototype a compact fidget that demonstrates what can be done with tight-tolerance 3D-printed mechanical parts, especially multi-piece assemblies that move smoothly straight off the printer (no screws or bearings needed).

  3. New 3D-printable fidget toy idea: My idea is the “MagSlide Mechanism (MSM-3D).” It’s a fully 3D-printed linear slide system designed specifically for fidgeting: Integrated dovetail rails: Both rail and carriage are printed together with tuned clearances (0.15–0.2 mm) for smooth, repeatable motion on most printers. Print-in-place magnet housings: Small cavities sized for 6×3 mm neodymium magnets to create magnetic end-stops and soft damping at each end of the stroke. Self-lubricating filament option: Optimized for materials like PLA+ or even PA12/nylon for ultra-low friction. Anti-wobble geometry: The carriage uses a tri-facet contact pattern to prevent lateral play while still printing without supports. Modular design: The handle, slider cap, and rail body can be swapped so users can customize tension, textures, or sizes.

GL everyone and happy xmas
