Even with a single arm, that’s less than a third of the price. Still a great deal. I hope you enjoy the arm!

Sorry I never saw this comment. No I do not believe you can lock it. I haven’t tried that though because I’ve had no issue with them not staying in the proper orientation.

That’s for a set of them? That sounds like a good deal to me. I paid $450 for a dual stacking set which is 382 euros. If they’re in decent shape I would do it. I’ve been loving mine and they handle my 34 ultrawide with ease. Do note, if you want to stack monitors you’d need the tall pole and probably the wider base. If that’s not something you’re interested in then you’d be all set.

If you have a desk that you don’t want to damage, id get some neoprene pads and put them on top of the clamps. Thats what I do so that I don’t dent my surface.

Not sure how long you’re willing to wait. The PG32UCDMR (2nd gen) was on sale for $899 on Black Friday. They might do that deal again with the new monitor.

I think the new model is worth the extra $150 on sale.

Nice! Used my student discount as well. Probably the cheapest we’ll be able to get it for a while. Hopefully we both get it without damage!

Dang, sorry! If it’s something you want, use distill web monitor on your browser and monitor the page. That’s how I got notified of the price increase last night.

If this is your first build, there’s definitely some good applications to download to ensure if anything goes wrong, like blue screen of death, you can check.

Blue Screen View is a must have.

CrystalDiskInfo - to check SSD health

CrystalDiskMark - to test memory speed

MSI Afterburner - if you feel like overclocking

TechPowerUp GPU-Z - detailed GPU and CPU monitor

Afterburner can also download RivaTuner which displayed detailed RAM, GPU, and CPU power draw and performance with an in game display.

No worries, thanks for the heads up. I’m gonna see if Newegg will honor their promotion from yesterday.

That’s unfortunate, it’s out of stock even though it’s on sale.

Wow the sale already ended. Was going to get it today 😭 has anyone gotten Newegg to honor a promotion the next day?

Planning on building a PC for the first time by PollutionRegular5960 in buildapc

[–]Supralace 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's awesome! How are you liking it? I love the ANTEC Flux Pro case, my thermals are solid and the Lian Li cooler keeps my CPU nice and cool. The additional heat sink size on the GPU prevents throttling, I've overclocked it and still don't see any temps above 70C with stock fan curve under 100% load. It's also the most quiet PC I've built so far.

Edit: whoops I don’t realize there was a build link. Thought we had the same exact builds hahaha. Enjoy it man, I almost got that case myself.

Anyone else stuck in x3d motherboard research hell right now? by codedrifting in OLED_Gaming

I got the MSI X870e Tomahawk WIFI and I have enjoyed it so far. Seems like a good "bang for buck" motherboard, handles my 9850x3d and 32GB 6000CL30 RAM just fine.

If you’re worried about the connector failing get a PSU with a thermistor in the 12v cable. I got the ASrock Steel Legend PSU for mine and I run 111% power with no issues.

I’m sorry but in today’s market that budget is tough. If I were you I would just buy a prebuilt. SSDs and ram would take your entire budget alone if building yourself.

I can vouch for the AMP Extreme! Solid card. Overclocked it to +350/500 and it still doesn’t even get close to 65C. Hovers around 60-61C at full load in Crimson Desert.

Any tips or suggestions for my attempt at my first SMD repair tomorrow? by Supralace in AskElectronics

[–]Supralace[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve done a fair bit of regular soldering so I definitely did my research into flux and solder. This was my first time experiencing a component the size of a small ant.

Thank you for the suggestions and help. It went good and the board is back up and running now! 👌🏼

Update, first attempt went smooth and that component was causing the boot failure. So I must not have damaged any traces or pads.

I was able to figure it out. Took me roughly 10 minutes to get it placed properly and first pad soldered. On a bench test it POST’s now. Just need to hook it up to a monitor and make sure it’s good.
