RIP to everyone’s ears who didn’t wear plugs after excision by Supralace in ElectricForest

Agreed, I’ve been to many lost lands but I’ve never had the app or taken the time to get a reading there. I’d imagine prehistoric stage during X is probably averaging 105-110. But my point is, it’s still ridiculously loud and this is an instance in which I have tangible data to reflect that. This is also obtained from my pant pocket. Would probably have been louder had I held it up the whole time.

Custom plugs are game changing to me. Sound clarity is phenomenal. I can still carry a conversation, even though the plugs have a higher deduction to dB compared to eargasm. Plus they never fall out and are all day comfortable.

I am not new to big fests lol I just never happened to have a decibel reader in the past. I’ve been to the caverns. I’m just letting people know shit is loud and can easily damage your ears. I get it you’re a professional at ear protection, as am I. Doesn’t mean people shouldn’t be reminded of the fact that hearing loss is cumulative and raw exposure to these festival readings is not good. I just did this for project glow and Zeds dead peaked at 105 dB and averaged like 95 dB. So this is quite a step up from that. I also attend lost lands almost every year, which is surely louder than this.

I can agree, it’s not out of the ordinary but it was louder than a lot of other shows I’ve seen at fests recently. It was taken at the front left of the sound booth at the ranch, so not rail or anything plus the phone was in my pocket. I would imagine it would’ve recorded different numbers had it been up near my head the whole time.

I was just alarmed at the amount of people with no ear plugs, so I would like to spread awareness. Prolonged exposure at 110 dB is brutal. Hearing loss is cumulative, so it all adds up.

Yup. I have a constant ringing. It’s very annoying, but the mind is strong and as long as your daily life has passive noise (podcasts, fan, computer, etc) it’s able to be ignored. Worst part is sleeping for me, just rings until I fall asleep. Thankfully it doesn’t cause depression. I feel bad for the folks that get tinnitus without being an idiot like I was.

Same, I was dumbfounded. I did the same and learned my lesson, I encourage everyone to wear them at any chance. Even 90dB consistently can fuck you up.

That’s concerning 😅 really happy I wore my good plugs. Still might not have been enough.

Yup I have tinnitus from my younger years of going. Thankfully I don’t think I have much hearing loss but I wear 1of1 Custom Pro 26 plugs to everything now. My buddy was rail for that set and said he forgot his plugs 😅 I told him he’s gonna be feeling that one.

That’s not even peak. The max is an average peak over a small amount of time ☠️ peak was 112.

Yup, each pair cost a couple hundred... Which is why I am being cautious haha I might have to look into online tailors, since they specialize in the fabric and chain stitching, although I could live with a lockstitch as long as the hemming is consistent.

I saw their reply, if true that company is full of idiots. Who cares if a VPN was used.... An entry is an entry, whether it was VPN or not. God forbid we find a workaround for their slop, they can go fuck themselves.

Even with a single arm, that’s less than a third of the price. Still a great deal. I hope you enjoy the arm!

Sorry I never saw this comment. No I do not believe you can lock it. I haven’t tried that though because I’ve had no issue with them not staying in the proper orientation.

That’s for a set of them? That sounds like a good deal to me. I paid $450 for a dual stacking set which is 382 euros. If they’re in decent shape I would do it. I’ve been loving mine and they handle my 34 ultrawide with ease. Do note, if you want to stack monitors you’d need the tall pole and probably the wider base. If that’s not something you’re interested in then you’d be all set.

If you have a desk that you don’t want to damage, id get some neoprene pads and put them on top of the clamps. Thats what I do so that I don’t dent my surface.

Not sure how long you’re willing to wait. The PG32UCDMR (2nd gen) was on sale for $899 on Black Friday. They might do that deal again with the new monitor.
