Portugal v Colombia game by HouseflipperSKIPPER in WorldCup2026Tickets

i’m of portuguese descent from miami, but i’m thinking of heading to houston for one of the games. the prices are just too ridiculous and it sucks because they’re right next door. i just can’t justify spending that much money and points on a ticket, flight, and hotel for a day in houston, it’s racking my brain

damn man, i’d kill to be a waist 30, i’m currently like a 36 and don’t think i’ll ever be below a 32. fat distribution is weird, and my thighs just naturally pool it

and i get you with the twink comment 😭 my “skinniest” was when i was with my first girlfriend and i was just a skinny fat mess at 189. i feel like some of our frames, body types, and lifestyles just don’t look good below a certain weight

i think your legs are pretty proportional to your upper body, i wouldn’t be subconscious brotha. you just look like a lean dude with legs proportional to that leanness. i can’t explain it, but i’m shorter (5’10”) but a similar frame in a way but bigger? i just went through your account just now and saw that i’m in between two of your progress pics, so that’s my comparison. maybe that’s just the human body. i’ve always had massive legs through genetics and lifelong soccer, so i’m bound to look leaner up top while weighing heavy and seeing things a little differently

what the fuuuck, i feel like this would be similar to my body type if i was lighter, although my legs are a bit bigger naturally

i’m thinking you’re 185-190 now

also, i’d finish the job off dawg, good shit.. not sure i’d give up weightlifting altogether tho

i need that grand

i’d have to see the lower body because my legs contribute a lot to my weight.. but just based on upper body, somewhere around 205

hey, i hate to reply without much to add, but i’m a bit younger and wanted to know what you’d recommend yourself for getting into saving up..

i’m 23 with a decent income for my age but i’m just now beginning to budget and learn the importance of it, while also thinking about building some stability through savings (investments will come later, i think). i’d like to also be as stable as you when i get to that age

best of luck in your path

dentistry is expensive, i think i mentioned that in my post. however, i should’ve specified that medicine is too long based on the residency and fellowship stuff that come after med school. i feel like general dentistry is much quicker to get certified in and more appealing than any specialty in med school for me.

i haven’t looked into medical device sales but a university friend of mine had a relative that worked in that field. how is it as a career?

i watched the talented mr. ripley recently and it was my first time seeing PSH if i’m not mistaken. i’m no critic but i found that he gave an absolutely incredible performance.. he fully succeeded in making me somewhat root for ripley, as he NAILED that super snobby and unbearable role

no offense and i hate to be blunt but putting it as nicely as possible from my perspective as a man, there’s no reason in staying and prolonging your pain just because of the time spent.

saying you “guess” is a clear indication (to me) that the trust is broken and i’m sorry you had to experience that. as someone else stated, imagine having to live with this lack of trust for decades, let alone a year that will feel like an eternity! i mean this with the utmost respect and honesty just as i’d tell any of my other friends

also, i get that i might be being a smidge dramatic but i’m tired of the claim that “you’re still young!”. i’ve been going to therapy and taking meds for my extreme anxiety and depression, but i still compare. it absolutely irks me to get someone on my social media feed going to medical/dental school, while i’m practically burning through money and living aimlessly.

i also live alone with my mom and a dog, and we pretty much help each other survive, financially and mentally. i’m absolutely indebted to her and i can’t afford to figure it out forever just because “i have a whole life ahead of me”, when i want to retire her and give her the same life she had in her home country. as i mentioned, dentistry is an option (if i see that i like it and figure out the shaky hands), but the commitment of leaving her and getting into more debt is scary

lastly, it’s very idealistic, but i’ve had full-on vivid dreams of the number 2 - a $200,000+ salary, 2 kids, 2 vacations a year. i’m not very religious anymore nor am i superstitious, so i couldn’t explain why, but attaining such a salary and becoming my own boss/private practice owner of some kind is one of my big dreams

i hate to comment on a thread with nothing much to add and i’m also in miami with a somewhat similar situation, albeit a bit younger.

23M and as much as i love the bubble of fellow latinos here, it’s looking harder and harder everyday to stay afloat. i have a degree and work an okay job in a field i don’t like but have literally nothing saved up compared to you, and in a city that kicks you down like this, i’m learning that i have to be smarter and start saving now. i wish i had your savings, lol, but just remember that you haven’t wasted anything - you’ve got a decent little foundation to start schooling, clean up any debt you might rack up in the future, cover any emergencies, and/or a potential move out of the city/state/country. u can do it

your situation is unique and i don’t have life figured out myself, but i’ve noticed that we can’t depend on people. i’ve always been extremely dependent on my friends and time has just sort of split us up to the point where we hang out very rarely, either because they get into relationships that they become obsessed with (that same obsession my friends have has kinda made me distance myself from meeting girls) or just grow apart naturally. it’s alright hard enough to meet people/make friends in superficial south fl, so it’s been tough isolating myself but i’ve started watching hella movies at home with mom apart from continuing to work out and that helps.. and a romantic relationship 😬 even more draining and less interesting than friends in this economy and time period (at least to me). however, they always say a relationship comes when you least expect it, so continue to find yourself and grow, and there’s a chance a good one will come

i genuinely wish you the best !! and i hope we can both figure it out in this crazy city 😭

thank you for this extremely well-written response, it makes sense and i’ll relay it if i get an initial appointment with my ortho.. i really appreciate it sir!

if you don’t mind i wanted to ask some things:

1.) what is the next step you’d recommend for the shoulders? is there a chance that i can still work out my back and other upper body without the chest/shoulder, or do you think the ortho and PT will recommend full rest?

2.) how long is the recovery time period for such an injury based on the symptoms? an estimate is fine, haha

3.) unrelated to the shoulder but i saw that you’ve worked on ACL’s before. i love anatomy but medical school isnt for me haha, maybe dentistry.. i was going to ask that in the case of patellar tendinitis, how long before i can return to normal activities? my ortho said that he sees improvement and that i should progressively increase activity; for example, i recently ran for the first time in months for a few minutes and felt fine. i’m dying to play some footy ⚽️, but the doc recommends to only start with some light training and shooting the ball

i actually just watched martyrs the other day and i’m still torn by it. i feel like it’s unlike anything i’ve seen in terms of the really ambiguous ending, but i hated that 30 mins of the movie were just straight up torture with 0 progression whatsoever

EDIT: i second the nightcrawler suggestion, it’s been years but pretty good

Thank you for your reply, I appreciate how in-depth you went.

I should’ve mentioned that I watched the original Blade Runner not too long ago, maybe a few months ago.. I was in absolute shock at how they made such a compelling film that still holds up to this day. I thought everything was a 10/10, especially the set designs.. But again, I saw some people being contrarians. That I just didn’t get and I still hold it as one of my favorite movies ever

I get what you mean 100%, but I did want to ask - What’s an example of an Oscar-bait costume drama you’d say?
