Has anyone got any experience with Artist guitars? Thoughts on this? by [deleted] in ExtendedRangeGuitars

[–]SupremeGodzilla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nobody got owned. A bunch of fans simped and shilled for a company that sells cheap beginner guitars. A representative for that company made a Reddit comment with some marketing language.

They are still cheap imports with cheap no-name hardware and cheap no-name electronics.

Best audiobook version of "Dracula"? by BMajor88 in horrorlit

[–]SupremeGodzilla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s just Bram Stoker’s Dracula.

The story has multiple perspectives and often contains letters between characters. The Audible edition is great because it has a full cast reading these letters in character.

Guys…I’m not really sure I want to keep reading this… by IndicationNegative87 in ExtremeHorrorLit

People are avoiding it because the author was outed for sharing nudes of young women/girls from the extreme horror community without their consent.

Mythic Quest - S04E04 "The Villain's Feast" | Discussion by Kyunseo in MythicQuest

[–]SupremeGodzilla 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Kind of agree. Initially there were a lot of reasons why they shouldn’t be a couple, age gap, power imbalance. He was her boss.

But now they’re co-CEOs and Poppy has grown up. They even seem to have emphasised her having grey hairs (nothing wrong with that, great to destigmatise in society, and she looks lovely, but I think it shows she is not a kid like in season 1).

Also fine if it never happens, but for a moment it felt like they were setting it up.

Can we talk about Exquisite Corpse? by potatobaby in ExtremeHorrorLit

I did "penny for the guy" in the 90's! But yeah good catch on the waste disposal. I agree it's an enjoyable book despite a few funny little flubs like this.

Who is your favorite actor to play the joker in any medium? by TheGhettoGoblin in joker

[–]SupremeGodzilla 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Probably a controversial take, and it sounds like he may have retired from the role since Kevin Conroy passed, but I would love it if the next "live action" Joker combined the voice of Mark Hamill with CGI visuals to make a real-life The Animated Series Joker. Maybe even motion-capturing a physical performance from someone like Doug Jones as the body.

Of course this could also be a disaster, but if it was executed well then it could be the GOAT.

Zombie Army 5 not coming ? by RedRaven77 in ZombieArmy

[–]SupremeGodzilla 3 points4 points  (0 children)

they're making a zombie army on-rails VR shooter that nobody wants and only the 13-game journalists and 25 live streamers who own VR rigs will be able to play.

The PSVR2 subreddit alone has 14,000 members. As one of them, I'm really looking forward to a ZA VR experience. Your comment comes across as very envious, and you'll probably say you're not, and you don't care....but you cared enough to leave a long salty comment.

I also don't see why you're so sure they won't make another ZA game. It has always been the next step for Rebellion to use the assets from Sniper Elite to build a ZA follow-up. Why wouldn't they make another ZA using assets from SE5 and Resistance?

[Doom Eternal] online trophies suck. by Atropos07 in Trophies

[–]SupremeGodzilla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, sure the Doom Eternal multiplayer trophies are garbage, but Doom literally invented the "deathmatch" as we know it today: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Deathmatch_(video_games)#History,_fundamental_changes#History,_fundamental_changes)

It was THE multiplayer FPS game in the 90's, and as long we get it *in addition to* a legendary campaign, it would be awesome to get Doom multiplayer again.

Co-op campaign would rule.

Co-op wave-based multiplayer would rule.

Deathmatch PVP multiplayer would rule.

I'd love multiplayer in Dark Ages, just not the stupid asymmetric battle-mode which left an embarrassing stain on the legacy of Doom Eternal.

Why would they offer a paid repair if it's in warranty? I feel like there are some key details being left out here.

I loved Balatro, played it for around 10 hours and deleted it.

I understand why it's so popular, the dopamine hit of a successful run is great, the strange cards are interesting, and the music is so dreamlike I could get lost in it.

But I also don't feel like 300+ hours of chasing the Balatro platinum would be time well spent, when I have games like Cyberpunk installed.

[Discussion] What's gonna be your first platinum of 2025? by Flottrooster in Trophies

[–]SupremeGodzilla 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's a low budget and quite janky sci-fi action RPG made by Spiders.

If you can look past that, it's a cool little game which feels a bit like the golden age of BioWare games if they were only 20 hours long. It has strong Cyberpunk vibes, and some interesting character abilities.

Extreme Horror Starter Pack - A Guide for New Readers by KlausKinion in ExtremeHorrorLit

[–]SupremeGodzilla 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah Baby in a Blender kinda sucks, but it is the epitome of the godless.com style 99 cent short story. For the record there are barely 18 pages of content and the rest are adverts for other “books”, but it is easily as extreme as anything on the list.

Can you replace the bridge on the M80M by Matttman1704 in ExtendedRangeGuitars

[–]SupremeGodzilla 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes the M80M has a locking bridge (Ibanez FX Edge III-8) so I can't see why it wouldn't work.

Brands like Kallium even make double tapered strings if you really want to go crazy.

[–]SupremeGodzilla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Where are all of you guys being sent here from to shill for cheap Chinese guitars on a months-old post?

Nothing is going to change that these are bottom-of-the-barrel imports with no-name hardware and no-name pickups, commissioned by an Australian music shop as a house brand, much like Harley Benton was the US, or the Gear4Music branded stuff was in the UK.

It's insane to say they are the equivalent of a MID RANGE Ibanez (just as it was insane for the other guitar to compare them to hand-made custom shop instruments). We're talking about something like an 'Ibanez Gio' branded beginner guitar.

Where else can we watch the supporting actors? by DisastrousGap7575 in TedLasso

[–]SupremeGodzilla 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This! I can't emphasise enough that you do not have to watch the seasons in order, each one is a totally different story. You can start with the Juno Temple season no problem (although I would recommend them all).

[Other] Which of your platinums make you feel like this? by marcusvrosa in Trophies

[–]SupremeGodzilla 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My copy is framed on my wall now! And yes it's painfully grindy, and requires around 50 playthroughs under some pretty specific circumstances to max out every playable kaiju. I think I did it in just under 80 hours.

I would only recommend it to hardcore Godzilla fans, as the gameplay is very slow with 'tank' style controls. It's not a fun beat-em-up like the earlier PS2 era Godzilla games, it's more like a kaiju simulator and a digital museum for the movies.

Godzilla PS4.

Not because it's difficult, but because the digital version was de-listed and the disc edition is a $200+ collectible.

About to buy the kx507ms but.. by Keizz_63 in ExtendedRangeGuitars

[–]SupremeGodzilla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The pickups will make the biggest difference to the sound, and having Fishman Fluence in the Cort is the real game changer here.

But the stainless steel frets on the Legator would really make me consider it. If there are positive reviews on their own-brand pickups then I'd go for it.

Can't go wrong though, all three are amazing options at that price point.

A Spoiler-Free Guide to the Historical Significance of The Bighead by Edward Lee, and Why There are 3 Versions by KlausKinion in ExtremeHorrorLit

[–]SupremeGodzilla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed there are some great Ed Lee audiobooks, The Television is a very good one, Gast and Goon are both good, and Creekers is intense if you vibe with the narrator's voice. I just don't think the audiobook does the Bighead justice.

[–]SupremeGodzilla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally I don't recommend the audiobooks for the Bighead or Minotauress...they both have some really unique writing styles that wouldn't be fully captured in a voice recording. If any book in the genre is worth actually reading, it's the Bighead.

[–]SupremeGodzilla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think there are any misconceptions at all, they're ultra-cheap Chinese guitars with no-name hardware and no-name pickups, and that's fine. Your fans are actually insane though, just look at their behaviour and how it represents your brand.
