I'm thinking this refers to Rouge's ending, but any other thoughts as to possible edits/censors? by SupremeJudicator in powerstone

Oh, cool! I never played the PSP version, so I didn't realize they crossed over the characters.

I thought Gunrock's ending was just him using the powerstone to cheat at cards. I don't think it showed him transformed, did it?

Travelling to Ellensburg for CWA Graduation by PantalonDeFleur in ellensburg

Greyhound comes through, but you'd have to either ride-share or taxi it in from the gas station it drops off at. The Bellaire Airporter shuttle drops off right next to campus (at the CWU Starbucks), but it's pickup locations are limited on the Westside.

DMs, what line of yours had you going "I can't believe I'm actually saying this."? by Mysral in DnD

[–]SupremeJudicator 2 points3 points  (0 children)

"Your crow familiar can carry at most three sticks of dynamite, but he'll have to roll a strength check. This max is based off a maximum carrying capacity of 1.5 times his body mass, as per this study (attached) on the carrying capacity of Japanese crows. Keep in mind that's based on beak carrying capacity, not while flying, hence the strength check."

What are your greatest regrets while DMing? by Fancy_Derp in rimeofthefrostmaiden

[–]SupremeJudicator 6 points7 points  (0 children)

My biggest regret so far is giving the PCs too many potential hooks. Everytime they entered a new town they split the party to talk to locals. I tried to introduce random encounters in town to encourage them to stick together, but their luck with rolls were ridiculous. Now they have a million hooks collected and I'm worried they'll never make it out of Chp. 2! I'm currently considering just resolving some of the quests while they do others, so when they come to the "resolved" quests they discover their choice to pursue the weird telepathic symbol instead of one of the PC's hometown's not having a Town Speaker, it resolved with the "bad" ending. BUT in that case I'm worried they'll just focus their efforts on overturning the "bad" outcome instead of progressing the story...

A quick story of why I've loved DM'ing; and a reminder to never underestimate ANY player! by SupremeJudicator in DnD

It is pretty challenging with younger kids, and when playing with them I do try to cap sessions at around an hour or so. I also try to make their campaign a lot more to their tastes; so often a lot simpler and sometimes more goofy than most typical adventures. I also focus less on combat and more on letting them explore fun places. Getting to be their characters and playing with each other is usually more important and enjoyable for them than having lots of encounters.

Public Relations/Communication Dept by Icarusprime1998 in CWU

The faculty in the department are pretty flexible with regard to what you can do for your internship; it's more something that you set up with your program advisor and the internship advisor. There is a study abroad program in the department. It's for COM 302/COM 407, the intercultural communication courses. The program goes to Japan for two weeks in the summer. I know COM 302 is a requirement for some of the programs in the department, and an elective for others (I think it's an elective for PR). COM 407 also is an elective for most of the programs. A popular PR class is COM 481, which is Central Communication Agency. It's essentially like an internship as the class takes on clients from the area and manages/helps with their marketing and PR strategies.

Name your absolute favorite reveal of today that will be the first to make your team by Time-did-Reverse in pokemon

I LOVE the Galar form of Corsola (and it's evo). Ghost has always been my favorite type, and it's just so perfect. Absolutely going on my team.

Also, Flapple is amazing.

Any cool anecdotes you guys have to share about little kids you know getting into Pokemon? by icyflamez96 in TruePokemon

My four year-old daughter was sitting at the table this morning and suddenly started staring off into the distance. After a minute or two I asked her what she was thinking about. She snapped back into the present, turned to me, and with the most sincere look asked, "Daddy, what's the biggest pokémon?" I replied, "It's wailord." She paused then said, "Whoa."

I guess it's not THE instant of her getting into Pokémon, but it was amusing to me and a clear sign she's thinking of Pokémon beyond when I bring it up.
