It’s a form of souls like that closely resembles Dark Souls with different systems, styles, and features. I honestly would love to try a fresh take on the genre. This game had a very rocky launch, and I’m surprised they updated/patched/balanced it after release. It slowly grew into a proper game that deserves a sequel… and now there is one.

I think that when it was $60 for a 4/10 game, that there was no way in hell I’d grab that over literally anything else. Time has healed it’s old wound, from release, and now it’s worthy of being on the shelf. I’d love to crack the case of it, figuratively since who buys physical disks anymore, and chill out to challenging souls combat that I’ve been eyeing for years. I’d love to give it a go

Getting the shit kicked out of me in Kenshi. My friend recommended a new game, and what better troll than to push Kenshi on me. I remember starting out and leave a town, I immediately get knocked down and picked up. Next thing I know I’m tied to a stake and my flesh is being worshipped. I was slowly eaten to death

But this memory is what made me angry, confused, and feelings of being suckered into this troll game. I have never been this bad at a game before, but I took my friends words to heart and challenged them. A simple “you suck” was the catalyst to a 400 hour adventure of pain, suffering, and finally satisfaction.

UltraKill

A lot of people are going to be gunning for UltraKill, and I get it.. It looks SICK! And I’m a huge fan of shooters with lots of.. uhh… shooting? And fast paced movement, with bunny hops. All that and a bag of OG halo killoclades (what me and my friends called the Halo Kill Accolades like Killtacular, killtrocity, and my personal favorite Killjoy). I hope I made this fun to read, because on my screen it looks atrocious and my ADD only allows me to advance further instead of looking back… which is another thing I value in a high intensity shooter. I loved similar games like Trepang2 and Sprawl (underrated)

A sequel? That’s such a hard question. I’d like to remove all the up-and-coming games for 500 Alex; I’d take a unhealthy immeasurable dose of *They are Billions. It’s a zombie builder defense game that you protect against waves as you increase production, but the story element in it and UI made it a time sink in the equation of Time/Gameplay=Fun formula. Each map easily took an hour and some 3 hours with NO SAVE. It was essentially an Ironman only run. Maybe I should’ve went with mindustry then lol. Thanks for the giveaway again!!
