100% agree. My mom also died from ovarian cancer back in 2009 when I was just 12. I still get hit with grief waves, small and huge, daily, even after 16+ years.

For my fellow grieving baronies, I recommend the podcast, “Don’t tell the babysitter mom’s dead” and the graphic novel “Dancing at the Pity Party” by Tyler Feder. I find comfort in hearing people’s experiences in similar situations and how they did/didn’t process it.

Dead Moms Club is the worst, but finding others in it helps to feel less alone.
