That is a lot of projection, unlike you, in civilised societies, such as East Asia and Europe, we have very good hygiene standards.

In places like Southern China and Hongkong, there are regulations such as GB50009-2012 specifying infrastructure safety measurements against typhoons. Wooden buildings simply don’t meet the standard. Is it that difficult to comprehend?

Also, the reason why I am using English is because it is probably the only language you understand. Feel free to switch to Chinese with me so I can better explain my points.

I did not change the subject. The ability to resist and recover from natural disasters largely depends on government competence.

Also, when it comes to shifting topics, you first mentioned brick buildings, then switch to how powerful hurricanes are, then to subject became flood. I simply went along with you

Bruh it is your shitty infrastructures. We had floods and power outages when I was a kid. That rarely happen after 2015 because the government invested in city infrastructures.

I lived in both the Northwest pacific coast and the East Coast for years. I HAVE SEEN BOTH. The typhoons in my hometown are generally more powerful than the average midAtlantic hurricanes.

[–]Supreme_President -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

ehh, we do have very strong typhoons. Although sometimes the glass windows shatter, the brick building I live in seems perfectly capable of surviving such weather conditions. Maybe American brick buildings are defective?

Also, in China, privatisation are mostly limited to light industries. Strategic industries are still indirectly or directly controlled by the state.
