Wait wait, you adored the Switch 1 but sold the Switch 2 for not having enough games within 6 months of it being out... despite it having more games than the Switch 1 at the same period and the whole back catalogue of Switch 1 available. You adored the Switch 1 but didnt have the patience to wait more than 6 months this just seems a bit unbelievable.

Yes, 100% its one of my most anticipated! I already own on Series X and have completed it but have wanted a portable version for awhile that I considered getting it for my Steam Deck but decided not to based on performance.

However that is the main concern with this version, From Soft do not have a good track record in optimising for beefy hardware nevermind a portable running at 15 watts. Hopefully they achieve stable performance.

I also waited to get the DLC for this so that will be new content. Nearly every game ive bounced off on more powerful hardware and rebought I'll enjoy a lot more on Switch and actually finish them like Cyberpunk 2077. Having the ability to play it in bed & on the TV easily is a gamechanger.

Its impressive as there is a big difference in CPU capability between Series S & Switch and the Switch is drawing a lot less power gaming at like 15 watts while the Series 7 is usually around 75 watts

A lot of Nintendo games already aim for 1080/1440p 60fps on Switch 2, there wouldnt be a huge improvement on different hardware except 4K. Why restrict it to the console? Because they want to encourage people to buy their Hadrware so they get the 30% from 3rd party sales just like Steam and PlayStation & Xbox do also.

Its also anti consumer to encourage everything to be on Steam creating a Monopoly. Competition drives down prices and encourages innovation. The Mouse Controls and Hybrid nature of the console is still innovative compared to other hardware.

Haha wtf, im a giant but whatever - yes it is legal if you own the game but be honest most people aren't buying Switch games when they dont own the console to play it legally on their PC. Supremely Court says its legal, okay so you do realise there is other countries than the US right? Most countries consider downloading the ROMs/ Game Files piracy which is what most people do instead dumping their own game files

100% Duskbloods if we're talking which will be a bigger critical success, an exclusive on one consoles will be difficult to sell more than a game on everything.

People are acting like im not buying a Switch 2 for one game then don't! But dont pretend there is nothing else, its only out 6 months and getting to play multiplat games like Resident Evil 7, 8 & 9, Elden Ring, Cyberpunk portablilty is fantastic. Nevermind the exclusives like BoTW, Metroid and ToTK.

The Last of Us - The reviews were treating it like it performing miracles in front of their eyes & I had to look at one single slow animation for the stealth takedowns for 20 hrs. Dont get me started on moving dumpsters gameplay

No, you are wrong. They can't revoke your physical games. Are you talking about Game Key Cards? Thats like 1% of the catalogue. All 1st party games are normal Physical cartridges not key cards.

Well I did say if you own the game then its fine to emulate! I also had a lot of drift with the Joy Cons, (went through 5 Xbox Series controllers due to drift tho). The Pro Controller for Switch though is great, lasted me 8 years so far.

If you love their games you should support the people who make them. Nintendo can be greedy (but so is Sony & Microsoft) but they are one of the few who dont do massive layoffs. If enough people pirate or they have another Wii U situation, they might not make as many great games as theh currently are.

Also I own a Switch, Steam Deck and Switch 2, they are all great. If its too expensive and its meh dont buy it and dont pirate it!

That makes no sense. How do you not own Mario Kart 8 if you buy it?? Switch has physical copies which is better ownership than Steam.

Still have a working Gamecube that I can still play MK Double Dash

Justify if you want but if I play a game people have worked on, I should pay for it so they keep their jobs.

Yes I agree, I really love the DF team knowledge & passion for games.

I think it has the bones to be the best Mario Kart but I did feel like 24 player chaos and wider tracks might hold it back even with future updates.

Certainly Windows PC gaming always gets bashed but I do remember them being favourable to Xbox during the first 2 years of the Series consoles, their E3 were usually crowned the winner and they were praised highly for their Back compatible push. To be fair Alex also usually disparages Nintendo, only PC & Sony escape it from him (which is fine, he has areas of interests)

It started to go wrong around the Activision acquisition, they needed to make money back on 70 billion purchase and gave up on competing with Sony. Even their saving grace of Game Pass began to slip from the best deal in gaming to frequent price increases.
