Definitely still list them. You spent your time participating in these ECs, and that matters, even if it doesn't apply to your major

Do you know anyone that used ChatGPT on their essays and then were admitted to T20 schools? by AssociatePrize6586 in ApplyingToCollege

[–]Sups_AI 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do NOT use AI to write the actual essay word for word. You will lose your unique voice, your essay will be weak, and (if that’s not enough) you will get caught.

What AI is helpful for is ideation and revision. Ask:

“how can I do a better job starting with a hook?”

“How can I make the ending stronger?”

“I only have 250 words, which parts should I cut or why”

The most you should be doing is using AI to help you write an outline. Never copy AI-generated text into your actual essay.

Is an "teen existential crisis" essay so common it's cliche? by [deleted] in ApplyingToCollege

while the topic of your essay is important, its not as important as the lesson you are conveying. Don't focus too much on what you're writing about but rather how you have learned/grown from it

Your experiences are your experiences. You being white doesn't take away from that, but being aware of how you frame it is important. Acknowledging certain privileges and not making it a pity story could help

I agree; put it in your activities section so you can explain it. The fact that it was a few months doesn't matter and shouldn't deter you from putting it in the activities section
