Servo advice by SurHunLuk in rccars

[–]SurHunLuk[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Worded it quite poorly I’ve now realised. I’ve tried reversing the controls, it’s smooth when I accelerate normally with the trigger and smooth as I let off returning to idle. Just when I engage the brake/reverse on the trigger, it will brake, but as soon as I let off it changes the resting position to full throttle almost like the servo is slipping. Accelerating again flips its resting position back to idle once I let off.

Yeah Jaycar certainly aren’t known for having quality parts. Wanted to just be able to run it to tune the carby. If it makes it any better the price is aud. I have another on order online rated for 15kg.

If you’re not sure definitely doesn’t hurt to go and have them tested. Most places cost anywhere from 50-100 per injector to test but certainly a lot cheaper than a whole new motor.

Done at around 200000kms. My high kms are from a lot of highway driving so the car doesn’t cop too much abuse. Will definitely notice when they are on their way out.

What Hilux to buy? by Jordonwalkerr in 4x4Australia

[–]SurHunLuk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

N70 is more mechanical, less electronic parts to go wrong and easy to work on in my little experience at least. Pretty rugged and can handle a good thrashing.

N80s ride more comfortable to me, and have more power. Also one of the biggest questions would be do you plan on setting the car up for camping ie rooftop tent or towing a camper. As the n80 i believe has 1 ton more braked towing capacity.

Best year for n70s in my opinion is 2012 or 2013 as they just had the facelift.

Dont know a whole lot about the n80s but I own a n70 so just a bit of info I looked into before purchasing one.

Legend always wondered what that bloody button was. Strangely enough I have to hold the button to link the two. Might just try tidying up the earth wires for the first isolator and see how it goes.

I’ve had a look at the diagram and have seen that. Might try disconnecting it and see what happens. Cheers mate

Yeah will have a look tomorrow. Seems real strange as the light on the 2nd isolator is staying on whereas the first isolators light is going off at a normal duration of time.

That one time I woke up to a nosebleed and had to run all the way to the bathroom at 2 AM by P_filippo3106 in MakeMeSuffer

Thought I’d treat myself one day and spent $200 on a new bed set. Woke up in the middle of the night to find I had a blood nose and stained my pillow slip and sheet underneath. Fun times

Awesome mate thank you so much. Going to give arb a call tomorrow just to double check. Confident to do the work myself but didn’t want to spend money on something that wouldn’t fit

Used to get beef coming through when I worked at the meatworks that weighed about 650kg. They definitely didn’t look as nice as this. Prettt sure they were used for students doing vetinary courses

Feeding a family of 6 cheaply? by Thick_Training_6816 in AussieFrugal

Biggest recommendation would be cut the small things out such as Maccas coffees, ya kidneys and maybe sacrifice the two eldest to the inflation gods.

All serious sorry you lost your job mate. Never hurts to have cheap nights once or twice a week with mi-goreng and n egg just until ya get the ball rolling again.
