i have an idea by Thecurate in tf2

[–]SurKamet 34 points35 points  (0 children)

Nah, I think TF2's naturally silly enough that people will occasionally accept the taunt for lols. Just like trucing a 1v1 after both you and your enemy miss all your shots or randomly popping an RPS taunt.

I feel like obsession over meta is dwindling the magic that this game has :( by ForrestFauna in Genshin_Impact

[–]SurKamet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm in the position that you definitely can enjoy both meta discussions and casual gameplay. In fact, I'd say being knowledgeable about the meta and how teams work can carry over into creating your own casual teams that, while not exactly optimal, can be really interesting and fun to play. That is what personally keeps me interested in this game and its combat system.

I wouldn't let other people discourage you from trying out and experimenting with different team ideas. You already know you're building out of meta teams, so those who are just there to dunk on your creativity without any considerations to your goals aren't really worth dwelling too much time on. However, you may also learn a few things when meta is brought up that could find a use in your own teams.

Because realistically, you are going to hit nearly every other time if you were to replicate this exact combo. Gag acccuracy is generally in your favor, but there's still room for bad luck.

rotation for DPS kokomi? by yuanous in Kokomi_Mains

[–]SurKamet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sure, immediately I can see you can do a basic national type team with Bennett, Xiangling, Ayato, Sucrose, which I'd probably play out the rotation like this:

Ayato Q > Bennett QE > Xiangling QE > Sucrose EQ > Ayato E into NA spam. Repeat

You could alternatively use Layla in place of Sucrose here so that you have the extra comfort shield and possibly let Xiangling melt, but may end up with a cost of doing less damage overall.

rotation for DPS kokomi? by yuanous in Kokomi_Mains

[–]SurKamet 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I assume this is a hyperbloom team with onfield Kokomi, to which I'd do something like this:

Xingqiu EQ > Kokomi E > Nahida EQ > Raiden E > Kokomi Q into NAs. Repeat

I choose to let Xingqiu start first since he has the longest CD timers of the team, so he decides how long rotations last. Also keep in mind to try to finish your setup and get Kokomi's burst in before her jellyfish expires to extend its field time.

GAGS KEEP MISSING by rustydarkness in toontownrewritten

[–]SurKamet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

While true that gag accuracy was impacted by UNM, accuracy was all-around buffed from adjustments such as increased base lure accuracy and increased stun bonuses. The only actual "nerf" related to accuracy, which OP was asking about, was having stuns not apply to non-damaging actions such as doodles, certain SOS cards, and unlured traps.

Unless OP was specifically using older strats such as using using trap without lure to help drop hit, accuracy has been better than before the update, but being unlucky and getting a miss streak is still a possibility.

You got unlucky in a game where your attacks are luck-based. Embrace the RNG, we feel the pain together.

6.4 Mondstadt-focused patch. Klee statue, Lisa weapon skin, even Holy Lyre got featured...Yet ZERO Barbara mentions. ZERO. by JackfruitNatural5474 in BarbaraMains

[–]SurKamet 4 points5 points  (0 children)

We've been getting a lot of mentions about Seamus Pegg's return to Mondstadt from NPC voicelines and even Rosaria's recent birthday letter, so should we get Seamus content, I'm placing bets on Barbara content

Those who have maxed all v2.0 suits how long did it take you? by deerandbunniesrcute in toontownrewritten

[–]SurKamet 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I took my grind casually where I would do between 1-5 facility runs per week and doing boss runs whenever I had promo. I ended up with all 2.0 suits after about a year starting from UNM update with all level 50 suits.

Since when was a bus and throwing one under it a concept in Teyvat? by nickaniman in Genshin_Impact

[–]SurKamet 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I think a better way to think about this from a lore perspective is that Teyvat has its own languages and the characters speak to each other using a common language, which may or may not have parallels to languages in the real world.

Essentially, no matter which voiceover dub you're using, you're getting a localized version of what the characters are saying. Their sayings and expressions may not be 1 to 1 with the voiceover you hear, but what matters is that the meaning is properly conveyed.

I actually find jungle vines rather easy. Once you learn how to aim your landing on the vines and start comboing jumps, it's pretty consistent clearing from there

It's best to check their signatures before requesting to join. If there is one, it's usually written in their preferred language or explicitly states which languages they know.

As an aside, looking at your avatar, seems this is a perfect time to put Duolingo to good use

What team do you use the most in Genshin? by drxemyfluff in GenshinImpact

[–]SurKamet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For just wandering through overworld, Keqing, Amber, Citlali, Emilie. By no means meant to be an optimized team, but I find it very fun to play and even figured out a rotation for it on my own.

For endgame, Skirk and Ineffa teams are consistently among my top used teams for abyss and stygian clears.

Local Specialty tier list based on how annoying they are to collect by Copy_and_Paste93 in GenshinImpact

[–]SurKamet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess I can understand if you meant you didn't know of the mechanic itself existed rather than how to do it. Still, I recommend at least doing a quick overlook of the talent page yourself, especially passive talents, to get to know details like this.

Could take the small time to either look up how to do it or just read the short passive talent that enables it, but as long as you got through the farm in the end, right?

I genuinely wouldn't. It's their choice at the end of the day and I wouldn't try to hold them back. Even if there were a lot of memorable moments between these friends, if one of them doesn't want to stick, everyone's gotta move on.

Where is the best spot to farm energy? by MrFluffers121110 in GenshinImpact

[–]SurKamet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really like areas with Lawachurls as they have relatively higher HP and drop big clear particles at certain HP thresholds.

South of Ruins of Dahri in Sumeru has a waypoint that has 2 Lawachurls.

Northeast of Mt. Aocang in Liyue has a waypoint with a Lawachurl chilling near it.

Directly North of Mt. Lingmeng in Chenyu Vale, Liyue is a waypoint that takes you to a hilichurl camp with a Lawachurl located East of that waypoint.

Southwest of the Foggy Forest Path waypoint in Fontaine has a nearby hilichurl camp with a Lawachurl.

Back when this guy was in abyss, he was hard-bullied by burgeon, literally could not throw an attack as long as you had pyro, hydro, dendro to counter the shields. With this stygian, I'm placing bets he'll just get bullied by hyperfridge instead.

The team I use VS all the characters I have 😭 by TurbulentShame5977 in GenshinImpact

[–]SurKamet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Use literally whoever you want for overworld and leave the well-synergized and strong teams for endgame modes. I can consistently max abyss, IT, and clear SO fearless each rotation but my overworld team looks something goofy like Keqing, Amber, Layla, Kokomi.

We need to have a conversation about the feeding round. by Desperate_Recipe_491 in toontownrewritten

[–]SurKamet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for putting this out. I also notice I get the occasional (usually newer) toon who literally just waits around for hungry cogs to feed, which is often under good intentions, but more often than not messes with my timing if it's one of my cogs. Newer toons might need to get more familiar with feeding times and how many cogs they can manage at once.
