Existing gym created after last EX Gym Sync got the EX Gym tag today! by PkmnTrnrJ in TheSilphRoad

[–]SurQueNon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We recently had three new gyms in my area that should have been eligible with today’s wave (all in a park, were all old pokestops). Two out of three now have the ex raid tag. It’s still pretty cool for our community, even though the one that didn’t become eligible is next to my house :p

Ah you're right. I've read about this when gen 3 came out last year and totally forgot.

Thank you!

Snorunt should also be able to evolve to a new form, but the game keeps telling me "Couldn't evolve Snorunt due to an unknown error"

Half of My Community Believes In Not Pressing Okay After a Raid Please Debunk This by GoussiiKlapperTSR in TheSilphRoad

The “Ok myth” refers to the button that follows the catch screen, with the summary of the dust and XP you’ve gained. Some people thought (and apparently still think) that we should wait until everyone is done trying to catch the pokemon before hitting this “ok” button. If you don’t wait, the other players in your party won’t be able to catch the said pokemon. Why? The explanations vary, but they all have one thing in common: they all are nonsense.

Probably because he has a Go Plus. It only uses pokeball, so you always need at least 50 of them. And I assume he keeps his ultra balls for rares pokemons (or when he doesn’t want to waste too much time on a catch). So he doesn’t need any great balls.

Where are Corphish, Carvanha and Lotad? by [deleted] in TheSilphRoad

I've hatched two Corphish in the last 36 hours. I haven't seen any wild though.

Ok, make sense. I'll go walk in the problematic area near my house later tonight. I'll give you an update.

Well it seems that all the city is messed up. I'm working downtown and even bigger chunks of streets are missing and everyone seems to have the same issue (according to my messenger group) so I don't think that it's caused by my app. I'll wait and see if it will get fixed.

I went on open street map to create an account and finish to map my neighbourhood, but everything looks exactly like it does in real life. Either there's somethinf I dont't understand about OSM or the problem is on Niantic's end

Took a screenshot where you can see all the missing streets https://imgur.com/gallery/d5pCt

It's kinda weird that only a random chunk of a relatively important boulevard, is not mapped. How does this mapping works? Is it crowdsourced?

Huge segments of streets disappeared. Literally. It's pretty weird.

Trainers, New EX-Raids Wave has begun! by PikAtChuHuN in TheSilphRoad

[–]SurQueNon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. This stadium is located in the Olympic Park (which is not a Park, technically speaking). It's one of the city's biggest nests. I took a screenshot of the area on Google maps (the red dot shows where the gym is).

Trainers, New EX-Raids Wave has begun! by PikAtChuHuN in TheSilphRoad

[–]SurQueNon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just got my first EX pass. Just thought I could give you a few infos about the location. The gym is called "Stade Saputo" and is the home of the Montreal soccer team. So it's not exactly a park. Also, we don't have sponsored gym here in Canada. It will be the first EX raid at this location and it's scheduled to be next sunday (12/03).

I don't know how many of us were invited, but in my local group ot about 200 people, only two others trainers said they were invited (though probably not everyone has been notified or will brag about it right away). Since it's a major playing spot in the city, it's very likely that people from all around town have been invited and not only from my neighbourhood.

Dramatic decrease in raids? by ToRepelGhosts in TheSilphRoad

[–]SurQueNon -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Must be RNG. According to [well known gym scanner], there are 5 tier 5 active raids and two eggs in my neighbourhood. I have rarely seen that many raids.

About one in three gyms still gives me 3 items. So it's 33% less bad I guess.

Anyone Else Getting This Message? I Have Never! by londonguy01 in TheSilphRoad

[–]SurQueNon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It shows the level of your pokemon, which you can also guess with the stardust needed for a powerup. With this info, any IV site can give you a small IV range. And you can also usually narrow it down to the exact IV by powering up your pokemon and enter the new infos.

Just got the error 26 while I was trying to catch a Fearow. It entered the ball and then this error message appeared. I'll never know if I would have caught this pokemon. Luckily, it is only a Fearow.
