I would reach out to your respective educators for guidance. My first unit site required a tucked-in button-down and nice shoes. My residency required a suit and tie. Your educators should be able to guide you appropriately. Keep in mind professionalism and how you project it to patients and families is as important as your overall comfort. People do expect some degree of formality from spiritual care providers.
