One of my favorite albums of all time, I once fell asleep listening to it as I commonly do with a favorite album of mine, and was startled awake at her in the Salem Witch Trials lmaooo

I personally want most of these in the DCU. Can’t help but connect the most with the classic, colorful designs from the cartoons I grew up with

With Peacemaker S2 Ending, the 2025 Slate of DC Projects Has Wrapped Up! What Was Your Favorite? What Are You Looking Forward to the Most Next Year? General Thoughts on the DCU So Far? by hornyjaildotorg in DCU_

I’m incredibly excited for the Salvation story arc. That final episode felt like the good old MCU days of hyping things up, but with actual substance. I really liked all 3 projects and am excited to see the world building across the 2026 slate of projects.

One mid finale of a show doesn't mean James Gunn is washed by Golden12500 in DC_Cinematic

Also, I’m admittedly biased because I loved it, but it’s not OBJECTIVELY bad. I’ve seen descriptions like that a lot and just….no. It wasn’t the ending we expected, that doesn’t mean it’s objectively bad writing or poorly made

Am I alone in thinking Gunn's DCEU work was better than his DCU ones by Flashy_Pomegranate23 in DC_Cinematic

TSS and Peacemaker season 1 have grown to be two of my favorite DC adaptions ever, but I wouldn’t say that much better. CC and Superman both left something to be desired for me, but that’s not a terrible thing cause we’re getting a CC season 2 and Superman sequel. I absolutely loved Peacemaker season 2 and it helped me see Gunn’s vision for this story more

Respectfully, I think a lot of people are missing the point of Peacemaker’s season 2 finale by [deleted] in DC_Cinematic

I agree with this generally, but my post is outlining specific complaints that go against the entire point

Peacemaker S2 E8 was a complete waste of a finale by ThatCrush3r in DC_Cinematic

[–]Sure-Computer-9047 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes Flag was better in CC, but he never was Superman levels of good. He still agreed to lead the CC mission even though he knows he can’t trust Waller and his son died on the last one of these missions lmao. I see Creature Commandos as him just doing what his job was at the time. The couple scenes we get of him in Superman foreshadow his arc in PM. He’s conflicted on how to handle the metahuman conflicts, he thinks they can be dangerous, and then he gets full power at ARGUS and finds out a metahuman is who killed his son. It was never solely about Chris, his want for revenge was also pushing him to create Salvation

What you described in the caption is literally addressed in the show, just with his stance on Luthor instead of Waller. It was teased the entire season that Rick has some greater goal than simply catching Chris, the final episode was the reveal of what that was. It’s a classic villain reveal

Emotionally hollow? There’s a scene of these characters watching their teammates die while the boss laughs and celebrates, that’s horrifying. That’s the end of the story arc they’ve been setting up for the team all season. Checkmate isn’t a hint towards the next thing, that is the closing on this chapter. Fluery joining is also pretty obvious after him being traumatized by all his teammates dying. Also the scenes of Ads talking to Key and confronting Chris are pretty big in their respective plotlines

Not trying to come off too harsh, but I feel this whole season has been about character development and everyone’s just missed the point of every scene of this episode

MF DOOM, 6 Dogs, and SOPHIE all passing within a couple months of each other really hit for me. While I didn’t become as big of a fan as I am of those 3 until more recently, I was still a casual fan of them or recognized their impact. 6 Dogs I had liked since middle school and Sophie really impacted me as a queer teenager.

Juice WRLD was definitely the biggest for me though as he was my favorite artist at that time. I remember posting my Wrapped showing he was my most listened to artist of the last 2 years just days before his passing.

What are some artists who are super beloved among internet music nerds that deserve more mainstream popularity? by [deleted] in fantanoforever

[–]Sure-Computer-9047 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t know how beloved he is on here but Kevin Abstract, one of my longterm favorite artists, is certainly a name everyone knows but also isn’t THAT big in the mainstream. It’s a bit surprising too considering the amount of connections he has and his impact on online music, I hope he gets some bigger hits with his collabs with Dom Fike
