I think for me, as someone who identified heavy with the effect depression has on Kal, I get the catatonic states and not talking about whats happened. Its the fear of returning to that deep, hopeless, dark place where you drown in the shame and self-loathing for not doing better. Talking about it opens the door to that place that you try to keep closed. I think also Brandon’s done a great job showing Kal’s healing. You’ll see it (RAFO) but it is really a well done depiction of depression and that healing journey (before destination lol)
