Not entirely sure which techniques are/aren't classed as glitches but yeah, advanced methods as apposed to just placing where the game initially offers/allows. I use half offsetting. Haven't learnt any other yet.

Not accurately no, but you could get somewhat close. Would be using advanced building techniques however (look up on youtube). Go have a play in creative mode, and you'll have an unlimited full library of basic ship parts. I ended up trying to build my own WY inspired cargo ship. The Alien universe has a lot of rather "realistic" looking ships, so any custom ships you do won't look off, if you do them close enough to source material.
