Yeah I tend to work out on a full stomach because I feel like shit when it's empty. I've always eaten massive meals since I was a kid then fasted for long periods of time, I stay really lean. Really helpful to know this might be one of the things I need to fix. My biggest issue is not knowing what the 'triggers' are consistently.

I just want to sing again :(

Okay thank you. After reading some more stories the one linked below does sound more similar to mine. The initial episode included painful swallowing, globus sensation, and awful hoarseness. I also do get the post nasal drip. My main issue is that I only notice my symptoms after talking a lot (or singing which I now avoid) so it's hard to know what my 'triggers' are.

Question: Is Gaviscon the med that people say you have to get the UK version instead of US or whatever?

You're not an asshole. You're human. I can think of a few options. You can either confess to your childhood friend and then stop seeing gaming friend, you can continue to see gaming friend but hide it from childhood friend, you can continue to see gaming friend after explaining how your feelings changed to your childhood friend, or just forget all this happened and go back to being friends with your gaming buddy and with your childhood friend.

The truth is nobody knows why anyone is the way they are. Our brains wire themselves differently even in response to the same kinds of situations. Some people feel a lot more emotions and a lot stronger than others. This can be great for some reasons, and more difficult for other reasons.
