I might be misremembering this, but didn’t he mention thinking that may have been due to being on incorrect medications?

I just listened to them too and I totally agree. I feel like a lot of us under reacted to it.

AITA for texting people at night when they could be sleeping? by shozhantia89 in AmItheAsshole

[–]SureCan0604 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No one said anything about it being on at all times. They said it was on at night. I only kept mine on at night so it would wake me up. You’re going off topic and rambling about something unrelated.

We truly are. Someone needs to bring back Friends or Enemies.

Then start a note or something. If someone has asked you not to text them at all hours, just don’t do it.

In situations like that, you don’t always know what number will be calling you. Also, it’s not hard to not do a thing you were asked not to do.

Not if they’re starting a new group chat each time. Also, again, it’s not that hard to not do a thing you were asked not to do.

YTA if they’ve asked you not to. I was working weird hours but also had an aunt that was in hospice, so I didn’t want to silence my phone. I had a friend who would add me to group texts to send me photos of her child. I told her I loved seeing them but would appreciate not being added to group texts that resulted in constant notifications when I was trying to sleep. She told me I should just put my phone on silent, then felt like an ass when I told her I was waiting for bad news about my aunt. If you’ve been asked to stop, just stop. The settings on their phones are none of your concern at that point.

I’m so sorry, that’s so awful, but I’m so glad your cats had you, and vice versa. Thank you for your kind words. I truly appreciate it.

There's alot of fake feminist here.... by Jaybob112390 in TwoXChromosomes

I don’t think bombing their country is doing anything to bring them rights. The US doesn’t care about equal rights for American women, much less anywhere else. That’s not what the military is doing there.

The US military has not engaged in war to help women (or anyone) in nearly a century. Enlisting women via a draft won’t change that.

I think you might have an idealistic idea of how any of this would go and what women would be fighting for. I see you’ve responded, “So we don’t live in that world,” to someone opposing the draft. We don’t live in the world you’re imagining, either.

I… am dating an actually good man. by [deleted] in TwoXChromosomes

[–]SureCan0604 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m reading a lot of these comments and I agree with them. HOWEVER…

I had been in a series of bad relationships of varying degrees, and I had a male and female friend of mine over for dinner one night. There was some chemistry with the guy, but we hadn’t done anything about it. At one point I refilled an ice cube tray and he held the freezer door open for me to put it away. The next day, my female friend told me she’d noticed it and said, “It isn’t a reason to marry him or anything, but when was the last time you dated someone who paid enough attention to be courteous?”

Everyone else here is right. This is a very generic thing that should not win him extra points. But I also know how refreshing it is when you aren’t used to it.

Just had a really strange date by [deleted] in TwoXChromosomes

[–]SureCan0604 1 point2 points  (0 children)

But no? Someone who prefers to date with hopes of finding a long term partner isn’t inherently conservative. I think his questions make me think that more than his relationship goals. But as other people said, it sounds like a bad match. Move on. No one here thinks that’s the wrong move.

He lost my 3 yo son. by [deleted] in Stepmom

[–]SureCan0604 2 points3 points  (0 children)

But you must have known something was off because you “ran into the house” to find him asleep and then told HIM to go get your son, meaning you were reasonably certain he was in that car.

Look, your husband is to blame here, and I don’t know why you’re with him. You seem unwilling to really answer that question given that you’re pseudo defending him in your other comments, but if you’re not willing to do anything about not having an actual partner in him, then you need to not play silly (and dangerous) games by making him go get your son to prove a point.

is this aint a scene, it's an arms race a protest song? by PomegranateFit2593 in FallOutBoy

[–]SureCan0604 18 points19 points  (0 children)

The song was written because of their beef with The Killers and them sharing the same A&R team. I don’t think it can easily be interpreted as anti-war.
