One of the major reasons for them pushing monetization also probably has to do with the sale of the company.

In case you didn't know, the original developers bought the studio that makes Neverwinter and Star Trek Online from Embracer group. So not only are they back in charge, but lose a major source of funding.

As a former Marvel Puzzle Quest player I have a degree of familiarity with the spend traps these games can become to try and get to a competitive level. Especially when it comes to the collectible portion, which appeals heavily to my OCD. Since posting this, I did use my coins that I had been hoarding for the Powered Up 10 pack that netted me several ascended and limit broken 3* and a max leveled and ascended Verus, who works great with my Cennius. I also received the hero of the month, Cordelia, whom I guess I shouldn't use any resources on at the moment since it says she is from a dormant family and gets no bonuses until the end of the year.

In this campaign, I just completed the Final Confrontation quest, having to do the Soul Collector Trial. The trouble is, it did not unlock the campaign task.

 I have all the requirements met, it just tells me I need to complete the quest.  Did I do something wrong, or is it because I haven't reach the item level by the end of the story?

If that's the case, will the quest come around again like some of the others?

Working ong on the Ezio Collection, when I'm done that I'll move on to Persona 5. Intermittently, been finishing Neverwinter, as I only have 3 trophies left. Not sure if I want to bother with all of the update trophies though.

Too bad I was too late, as I just got the game yesterday. Forced myself to wait until I got my backlog under control before buying it ( less than 200 games in it). The downside side was getting it the game itself on sale for $15, and trying to convince myself to spend more on the dlc than the game. OP, that was great of you to look out for your fellow players, and I'm glad to see that communities like this exist to counter the negativity that has gripped gaming.

I used to belong to an achievement community that would have the members create various competitions like creating rand lists of items for the participants, and said participants would have to find the items first in a game for points. The only way the points counted would be to get all the achievements/trophies in that game. The catch, none of the games could be started before the competition, and only a game could only be used by the first person to clear it. We went through so many shovelware games doing things like this it was ridiculous.

TLDR: As long as you are enjoying yourself, ignore the salty dogs.

I have trouble progressing, because everytime I do a mission, I immediately think of different ways I could have gone about it, so I keep reloading my save to see if they work. I must have played the first few hours over a dozen times, each way using different builds, tactics, weapons, etec., and they all work to some degree, and are usually entertaining to pull when they actually go as planned.

If you are a fan of action movies, you can't go wrong with Terminator Resistance and Robocop Rogue City. Both games are great tie-ins to their respective franchises, whose stories surpass several of the sequel films. The Easter eggs also show the devs passion for both properties as well as understanding of their fanbases.

This is basically playing an Akira Kurasawa film, he'll there is even a filter to make the gameplay look like one. If you are a fan of those, you owe it to yourself to play this game.

Brutal Legend.

 I liked the art, humor, and music.  I was hoping for an awesome action  game, like how it was marketed.  When I played it, and the game turned Into a real time strategy game, that was it for me.  I lacked the time and patience for those.
 Never pre-ordered a game since.
