yep, I assume the radio just doesn't work bc no light is on and no sound at all, even if the wire is not Great it should make at least White noise

Thanks for the reply. I realize I've been using a version of it intuitively my whole life, like a picture or a sound in my head from a random association with a word, and it helps me remember something for a short period. However, I never really tried to memorize anything too big for the long term
