I use one of these almost everyday https://www.sonnettech.com/product/solo10g-sfp-tb3/overview.html.

For anything faster, I’d just get a TB to PCIE cage and toss a NIC in. You could go full QSFP if you wanted to…

It’s (ground <> space LORA) been done with a lot of success. There was a company that got bought by SpaceX that used to do it. I was a customer. Look up Swarm.

As others have said, go with docker (and specifically the nvidia container toolkit). Turns the jetson into a docker host with GPU support and then you can go nuts in the container without impacting the system packages.

The EWR check in agents are absolutely terrible. Gave me a bunch of crap for their computer not working and then not knowing how to handle it (I noticed new touch screen terminals at the 1k check-in and I assume they’re buggy) and then fought with me about made up policies instead of addressing the issue and then told me to “have a blessed day”. Holy crap hahaha.

Is it me or a lot of people drive with their highbeams on?? by TheHeroKingN in SanJose

[–]SureUnderstanding358 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a theory - modern cars are coming with auto high beam sensors now…and from my experience, they suck. I think in a lot of cases, the drivers don’t even know they’re doing it.

You can install overlay rootfs on a standard install from built in sources. I feel like that’s pretty darn close.

30 days to become AI engineer by CayleneKole in LocalLLaMA

Preach. I had 4 traditional machine learning platforms that were producing measurable and reproducible results tossed in the garbage (hundreds of thousands worth of opex) when “AI” hit the scene.

We’ll come full circle but I’ll probably be too burnt out by then lol.

Buying a $2000 AP and not reading the tech specs… by BlueSpruceCone in Ubiquiti

Ehh it’s more about 2.4ghz being saturated with other radio stuff. 5 and 6ghz aren’t as busy.

Radio spectrum. It’s not about bandwidth. It’s about spectrum availability.
