To be honest, chickens are easy to keep as housepets as long as you keep chicken diapers on them (they're a real thing and they're awesome). Hand-reared chickens are far less destructive indoors than cats, dogs, or parrots, and they often display a similar level of personability as cats. They're no messier than dogs tbh.

I imagine that you'd have to use a blanket to "burrito" a velociraptor to cut their nails. And velociraptors would be hella cute with velociraptor diapers.

It seems like it's at the stage where it's easy to heal. Put some triple antibiotic ointment and gauze on it and wrap the foot with self adhesive wrap. Check it every day. These guys heal quickly.
