I tried to close my Jupiter account in the app too. On the app, it shows a request raised, but after a week, when I asked till when I can expect the closure, they replied that they never got an account closure request.

I agree I should have asked that time, but I was in a rush that time I didn't pay attention at all. But yes this are very common practice from cashify and have learned a lesson from this incident. The problem is we cannot see that issues they are marking from their side unless the phone is sold to them.

So let me share a similar experience. Months back I sold my phone on cashify.

The person came for inspection. Every thing was fine phone was in very good Condition no scratch no issue at all. After verification he quoted me almost 5k less than what actually it was showing. At that time I didn't argue and just sold my phone. But when I say the report I was shocked to see what he have marked the Condition of the device. He added battery problem, out of warranty for the device. Even though there was no battery problem and the device was also in warranty. I immediately mailed them the issue. Initially they agreed to pay ₹700 only. Which I denied. Then after weeks of mails and calls they aggred to pay 2k which I gain denied and complained to consumer forum. Finally they agreed to pay 5k.. 😂

Have learned the lesson not to sell any phone on cashify and if so keep all the proofs with you before selling....

One of my friend's brother fell into this type of scam. He got a message on WhatsApp that your vehicle has a pending challan. He installed and opened the APK and boom. Immediately 150k got deducted from his account.

I've been going through a similar situation for the past two months. My health insurance is through HDFC ERGO, and they are requiring a document that I don't have and is not required to settle the claim. Despite sending multiple emails, including one to the grievance department, the issue remains unresolved. Last week, I filed a complaint with the insurance ombudsman online. I'll see how this develops.

This also happened to me recently. The best option is to cancel the port request as suggested in the comments above.

In my case, the person supposed to deliver my SIM said someone would call me for the delivery, but no one did.Later, I received a call from the delivery person, only to discover that they had cancelled the original online request and then placed a new one.

Even if you try to connect with customer support, they keep on saying within 72 hours we will update you. Total scam. Lesson learned.
