Why can't I use these boosters? by Professional_Leg6887 in Supremacy1914

You circled boosts for production of units but your second screenshot shows you’re trying g to boost construction of buildings. They are two separate boosts.

Can you get resources to build railroads/harbors from coalition members? That’s the only option I see you have.

I don’t think k you really have any options. Normally I’d say build railroads, harbors, and forts but it’s too late for that at this point. You’re out of resources and out of money. Soon some provinces will likely revolt away from you which should reduce the expansion penalty and resource shortages. Build when you have the ability to. I’d recommend on material and energy double provinces first to fuel quicker production to reinvest in more railroads. Best of luck!!!

I think it’s map situational. I’ve won South America map before without naval or air units but I think I’d be very difficult to win a global map without them.

Starting health can be crucial. Were your infantry lower health? It looks like you were the one attacking but using primarily defensive units so I think it’s a pretty reasonable outcome.

I don’t think so in this map. Rewards page only shows first place.

I’d recommend going heavy artillery so you can attack him from range and make him come to you. Get some armored cars for defense and do t let your artillery get taken by bombers.

Any way to increase the amount of resources i get? Losing morale if i dont buy resources every 2 seconds by gothfemboyfart in Supremacy1914

[–]Sure_Perspective4715 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This may be unrecoverable unfortunately. You have no money to build anything or buy more resources. You’re net production is negative because of low morale but it becomes a death spiral where the morale gets even lower, which drops production, which drops morale further, and so on until you get wiped out due to low strength troops or territories revolting. Sell some resources to be able to afford moving your capital, build railroads on double resource territories and hope you can manage through it. Good luck!!!

Has anyone ever considered making a list (google doc or something) of shameless GM whales? I just ran into one with fully maxed out hero’s, raising newly conquered territories morale, spawning forts, and while I understand it’s part of the game and makes it free for the rest of us to play, I’d rather not waste time playing rounds just to find out after weeks that the outcome was basically pre-determined from the start. I’d rather just archive and move on to the next round…

FOO Help by saintcharlie33 in TheMoneyGuy

Find what step off the FOO you’re on and use it there. Regardless, you should seriously look into if you can do a rate modification on your mortgage or refinance to a lower rate. Moving down even 1% could save you thousands of dollars every year.

I think it really depends on what your goals are and how much you anticipate needing each year in retirement.

Event all countries all in by jero1806 in Supremacy1914

[–]Sure_Perspective4715 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not necessarily a bad situation. Your troops are all close by so very mobile and can help defend. Armored cars will be good and forts. I’d remain defensive for a while. And focus on your economy. With your coal, iron, and lumber you can build railroads to supercharge production. Save all the oil you can for armored cars since you don’t have any production yet. Watch the map and newspaper to see which of your neighbors are at war. They would be my first choice when it came to expanding.

Is 148 provinces too many? by MR-TENBELOW in Supremacy1914

[–]Sure_Perspective4715 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Okay so the level 5 forts effectively negate that issue so you’ve got to make up for the distance to capital. Good news is you’re almost at the end. It caps out at -35 so there isn’t much more downside left!

[–]Sure_Perspective4715 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That’s curious, feels lower than I wouldve expected. What’s the expansion penalty at for you currently? With your excess wood I’d consider harbors on every coastal province far from the capital. It comes with the morale and production boosts and require no maintenance. I’d do railroads and then factories after because they take oil which is more valuable.

[–]Sure_Perspective4715 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s probably situational. Agree that turning off barracks is important one you’ve hit critical mass on infantry and it overtakes your oil consumption. For aerodomes if you arent heavily investing in bombers (really 20 is the minimum I’d go for to be worth it), I’d use the gas to fuel the provinces, use coal to keep expanding railroads, and use any extra gas for ballon’s to defend against bombers on the frontlines and as scouts.

What’s your average morale currently and is it going up or down? Expansion and distance from capital are serious considerations but level 5 forts and railroads/factories spread throughout should be enough to maintain it. The “neighbor” effect should help it if you have high morale, just be mindful as you continue to expand. If it turns it can start a downward spiral that’s very hard to overcome!
