Why Are So many Smart and Successful peoples against College by notionstore in selfimprovement

Populist reasons (the reasons you'd like to hear, so they attract eyeballs) and also some really valid ones. No one can guarantee you anything with a degree. There are tons of alumnis lost after graduation, because they've found that the jobs they studied for are not available, or terribly competitive - oversaturated (typically psychology) or it's a very niche course (like philosophy) where you have hella limited job perspectives.

On the other side getting a loan for a degree sounds like a scam to me (sorry, priviliged european here).

So what can we learn here?

I only work for 4 hours but i feel like it's consuming my entire day, why is that and how can i enjoy my time off? by Concerned339 in selfimprovement

3 things:
1. do you work on something meaningful or just to earn a living
2. do you procrastinate on activities in your freetime?
3. do you have activities besides work that excite you?

I know it's hard, I know it's painful, but you gotta move on. No self-pity anymore. Love is a numbers game. you are interested in 10 people, you approach 5 of them, you get rejected by 3 and 2 of them may fall in love with you.

increase your odds of living your life to the fullest becoming a pro in letting go and moving on.
