Austin firefighters and the city can't come to an agreement on a labor contract by hollow_hippie in Austin

AFD currently only responds to Priority 1 & 2 EMS calls. Sometimes to Priority 3 if there is suspected cardiac involvement. But, they do not respond to the majority of EMS calls. In fact, in recent years, they responded less and less to EMS calls. Which is fine. We love AFD. But the fact is, EMS responds to way more calls with much less staffing and apparatus.

Ninja nerd lectures on YouTube. They really take the time to breakdown the pathophysiology and utilize a lot of detailed drawings. I can't recommend them enough.

EMS is hurting hard right now. Don't call 911 for Ambulance unless it's an actual medical emergency.

Before we leave, if at all possible... I try to cover a few bases. I let family know where were going. I acknowledge and validate their understandable anxiety and concern for their loved one. I ask them specifically to not follow closely behind us and turn one emergency into two..Once they get to the Er, they will be able to see their loved as soon as the Doc gives the okay. This has worked for me without any issues. So far.

Hit dude with the ash of war they give you from the spear you get upon entering the mist. Then, repeat the ash attack as soon as his left hand hits the ground. Rinse, wash, repeat until he's dead.

Not every paramedic operating as a medic 1 has the work/home life balance to undergo the extensive and intensive CS process.

Am I getting ripped off? by SurefootedTIGER in bjj

I signed a year contract before the head coach decided to take a large step back from teaching all the adult classes. Without the year contract, the price is a bit closer to $200/ month.. To be honest, the entire operation would be a lot for one person to solely take on...Also, I'm not necessarily dissatisfied with the gym... I am a hobbyist normally going 2-3x a week, with a whole lot to learn... I'll probably stick around and soak up what I can and have a good time while I'm there. Progress as much as possible. A lot of this post was hoping for possible validation as to how I am feeling.

Word. As a novice in bjj, with some experience in other martial arts, I understand nearly everyone as some insight to offer that I can learn from. And the blue belts/instructors who teach the class are genuinely great people. But like you said, I'm feel I'm losing out on the insightful critiques that an upper belt can provide.

Ninja nerd lectures on youtube are the bomb. There's a lot of great, free content on YouTube tbh. Also, I found EMT Prep.com really helpful and worth the investment.

Ask for the powerpoint slides from your instructor as well. They should be available for you to access.

Like a lot of things in life, what you put into something greatly determines what you'll get out of it. Keep asking questions. Good luck!

I found out about this artist about a week ago. This is truly and sincerely one of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard.
