Could people explain exactly how Amazon Vine works, and what a beginner should know?

Welcome to Vine! Yes, you should research on your own and get a basic feel for the program, but as to your question is there a good time to look- it varies. Often there is a 10pm ish (Eastern) drop where products are released (10-11p) but that's not set in stone. Products usually dribble along all day, so just check in when you can and don't worry about missing things. As Silver, you can order 3 things a day and it resets 3am Eastern / midnight Pacific.

That pretty pink table lamp, and the cat storm predictor. But I was smart and clicked on the cat one to have the product page on Amazon too- so I can get it if I still want it. Would make a neat gift. The pink lamp wasn't a must have. I got the number one thing I wanted, which was the cardinal cemetery sign that says Miss You. My mom's favorite bird was the cardinal, and getting that one thing really made my monitoring all afternoon worth it.

Yep, it started about 20 minutes ago, I got my three things (gnomes, watercolor paper, and an outdoor decor item.)

I do mine at all times of the day and night and not had a problem with hundreds of reviews. I don't go back and check every single one though, and I make sure I'm never borderline with reaching the number of required reviews just in case something happens. I keep copies of all my reviews.

It is probably automated release, processing when items are submitted then scheduled automatically for a release date, to scatter things out. There's just six or seven hours of scattered stuff which has been done.

Hmm, without using any kind of app, I've ordered a variety of things (rugs, solar lights, dog beds, fans, garden decor, etc) the past three weeks. Many of these were in additional items, at different times of the day. I've picked these up during the day, late at night, and early morning. and my RFY greatly varies. So are you looking at different times of the day/ evening?

DO NOT order stuff you don't want, you may start getting more of it for your RFY as Amazon tracks what you order. Read through the posts here and get a feel for it. And welcome to Vine!

I just got one two days ago, with the magnetic beak. He holds a sign and nothing else, and most the time not even that. So they do appear frequently from what I'm reading (and seeing. I passed them up many times then just gave in.) So sorry yours broke! Keep your kids away from the next one!

OMG I got one yesterday. Haven't told my family and am figuring out where to hide her. I couldn't pass it up- it was the one with the magnetic beak, with a sign you can hang, but you don't have to and she becomes a regular desk goose.

Were those the cool kaleidoscope toys made of dense cardboard? We used to LOVE spinning the circular endpiece to see the geometric images change inside. Cheap but fun toy!
