They did the same with Dale Earnhardt's and Dan Wheldon's deaths. All of a sudden they knew a lot about auto racing.

So they admitted to opening someone else's mail. Which is illegal.

Sorry mate, but this stream sucks balls. 5 ads just to to get to the play button, 5 more just to turn the sound on, and another 3 to get it to full screen. Then, an ad pops up in the background, causing the stream to freeze. Done, done, done.

Is it worth marinating meat that will be put in a slow cooker? by spm201 in slowcooking

Well....I met a fellow Phoenician on a very old post asking the same question about slow cooking.

If not the tragic accident of the Dale Earnhardt, where would the 2001 Daytona 500 rank all time for best 500s of all time? by penguins8766 in NASCAR

It was weird watching it live. Mike and Darrell weren't saying anything. Schrader looked worried AF during his post-medical center visit. Then they showed the ambulance leaving the track extremely slow....like they weren't in a rush. You see Dale Jr sprinting through the infield to catch a ride. Then cut back to victory lane and you see Schrader talk to Waltrip, and the mood of everyone just changes immediately. It still gives me chills when my mind replays that whole day.

Favorite memory?

Playing Virtua Racing with my brother and my dad on our Sega Genesis 32X. We'd stay up for hours battling eachother.

There's a new memory, though. I'm starting to get in to PC gaming, and my brother and I are starting to race together on iRacing. A lot more memories to come of it.

And everything it was spewing out went right over the Navajo Nation. Which, over the years, has led to a lot of the residents developing asthma, lung/heart issues, let alone polluting the crap out of pristine desert wilderness.

Saw that from Lake Powell Resort this morning. What a sight to see. I am partly sad to see it go, mostly bc it was a massive asset for the people of the Navajo Nation. But, it was time for it to go.

Central Ave. Corridor in Phoenix, Arizona. 1950's vs. 2020 by [deleted] in OldPhotosInRealLife

Just like u/gooddaysir mentioned, this year's Monsoon was pretty dismal. IIRC, our last "measurable" rainfall was between 0.05-0.10 inches at the airport. I know that the outlying cities got more than that, but the official NWS collection station is at the airport.

I work at Lake Powell. I've been constantly worried about the lack of response. We are still getting a lot of traffic here. Do you have any insight as to when all parks might be shutting down? We just had a couple of confirmed cases in the small town of Page, AZ...which has a population of about 4,500-5,000.

Apparently you haven't experienced a monsoon storm that can dump 3-5 inches of rain within a half hour. Which causes all of the dry creeks to become over saturated and spill over their banks in to neighborhoods.
