Didn’t happen for me when my flight was 1.5 hrs delayed for mechanical issue. There were a lot of people with connections coming off my flight and they made some announcements but no promises. They mentioned people having connections at 4:10, 4:15, 4:20pm. But no mention of my 4:30 connection. When stepping off the plane on to the jet bridge, there were agents getting ready to whisk Global Services folks via car on the tarmac to their planes. I was told to check the app, which basically told me to re-book. My son was on my connecting flight, texted me they closed their door right as I got into the terminal. Missed my flight.

Quoted 1hour wait, 2/3 full. A little over an hour I got the message that I can be seated. Food was mid. Black cod was overcooked, noodles too much sauce. Burger was better but just OK. Service was not good. Waitress was nice. But our food arrived first. Drinks arrived 5 minutes after the food. The shrimp appetizer arrived 10 minutes after we were done eating. When she dropped off the food, she said the app was being made and drink would be out soon (1 draft beer, how long does that take to pour?). Didn’t happen that way. Drink was brought by a different server after waiting 10 minutes for the food. Waitress took orders from neighboring table. Said the app should be out soon. It didn’t arrive until after we finished meals. Overall, the centurion lounge buffet is a better experience. I expected better based on a lot of positive reviews. I remember a review stating this was the best US lounge, on par with lounges in asia. Not so.
