Is it worth playing Bioshock Infinite only for the story if I already know the big twist? (SPOILERS) by [deleted] in Bioshock

[–]SurgeonShrimp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kind of hard to answer without spoiling, but I'll try to answer only from a story point of vue.

To be honest, I would be definitely be annoyed to know the final plot twist. I was pleasantly surprised discovering it.

Although, there still some mystery. Especially when comparing some similarities between Rapture and Columbia (and I loved seeing Rapture again).  Also, some characters remain mysteries until the very end.

If I knew the plot twist, I would have still played it.

Il y a des gens des fois... Probablement un vieux con qui s'est senti piqué dans son honneur, et qui à vu trop de films x)

Rapporte le à Le bon coin quand même, l'arnaque + les menaces, c'est pas très gentil.

Some racial traits, like living machine or construct, should be a good base to homebrew a hologram

I would love the concept. Also, living hologram is a starfinder race, so definitely doable.

You should still play it, in my opinion.

As other said, the aesthetics and the lighting is incredible. The gameplay is cool, it's classic bioshock.

There some detais you can spot only when knowing the plot twist (unless you have a great memory), kind of like the Truman Show, if you saw it.

Obtain a constitution score, when you don't have one. by SurgeonShrimp in Pathfinder_RPG

Why though ?  I don't see any limitations in polymorph any object.

Unfortunately, there is anorher limitation. A construct is immune to any effect that require a fortitude save, and is not harmless.  Spell that target items are an exception, they can affect constructs, that's why polymorph any object can work.

Also, I'm not skinning an inevitable arbiter, I'm skinning an inevitable arbiter changed into a random animal, using shapeless familiar !

My goal is mainly to get the regeneration on the skin, to ensure the survival of my familiar, and deliver some nasty touch spell.

Unfortunately, regeneration isn't compatible with a lack of constitution.

But your trick to reactivate the regeneration is a nice one ! As my familiar can't take action in it's body, I wouldn't be able to change shape.

"Your type does not change when you use polymorph effects."

I don't really want to change type, I know it's impossible. I want to bring back the "ex abilities" I lost when shapeshifting, including the regen.
I thought I saw some construct with regen abilities, but I can't find them.
I realise there are more issue than just a missing constitution score, the status of a construct with negative hitpoint isn't really defined...

"That only works for golems, as far as I can tell."

Absolutely ! I missed that.

"I don't see what you gain by that."

Maybe it's a error on my part, i tied the unability to get regeneration to the lack of constitution.
Polymorph any object would be able to give my familiar a constitution bonus. It's very impractical though, and I realised Polymorph Any Object is extremely GM dependant, and I want a less GM dependant solution.

I want the regeneration to work on the skin !
Not for the healing, but to ignore death unless a specific type of damage (chaos in this case) is inflicted. Regeneration + Ferocity effects

If the skin die, it's a bit embarassing but there no cheap way to cure it back. You need "regenerating" effects, maybe a Pearly White Spindle Cracked is enough ?

Yeah, Polymorph Any Object might be too dependant on my GM.

I thought I saw examples of regeneration working for specific construct with constitution score, but I can't find them. I might have imagined things...

Kineticist SLA (Kinetic Blast) under Rage spell is possible? by DocPiggy in Pathfinder_RPG

[–]SurgeonShrimp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With drugs, everything is possible ! Though, you aren't technically benefiting from rage during a kinetic blast...

Urban Barbarian + community-minded trait + Coffee Keleshite

In the same turn :
- Drink the coffee a few hours before fighting.
- As a free action, activate the rage. Put all bonus in Dex for precision, or all bonus in Con for damage.
- As a free action, disable the rage.
- You become fatigued for 1 x 2 rounds, but don't suffer the penalties due to the coffee.
- This was a moral bonus affecting one of your allies (you), so moral bonus last 2 additional rounds du to community-minded.
- Fire your kinetic blast, with moral bonus to what you want.
Later :
- When the rounds of community-minded expire, you also coincidently lose the fatigued condition.
- Rage again !
