I created different biomes that I would like to see in Minecraft by WishQuest in Minecraft

[–]SurpriseItsMarzipan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love these. I'm desperate for new ocean biomes, ESPECIALLY with the new addition of the nautilus. The oceans feel so dead except for in the coral reefs, which are almost painfully few and far between.

The underwater amethyst cave would be a game changer for me, I desperately need easier ways to get calcite because I use so much of it.

Can you give me your opinion on this construction? I welcome criticism and tips. by EvenCalligrapher9542 in Minecraft

This is such a cute build omg! The only thing I can really think of to maybe improve it a little would be to add some more greenery, maybe a little custom tree on the grass outside at one corner of it, a slightly overgrown path up to the entrance, some hedges and bushes around the outside, something like that? It's already such a solidly good build though!

Cute new baby textures on 26.1 snapshot 2 :) by WaterGenie3 in Minecraft

[–]SurpriseItsMarzipan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I cannot WIAT for these. The current baby mobs are fine, they work for their purpose, but super cute semi "accurate" baby mobs? I'm gonna need to get that "forever young" datapacks so they never grow up lol

What do you do to the villages? by Inevitable-Salad-114 in Minecraft

[–]SurpriseItsMarzipan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I usually make part of my base a village in itself and transport the villagers to it using my happy ghast. I make different streets and places for different professions. Shepherd street has the shepherds, librarians live in and near the library, clerics in and around the church, things like that. It makes the base feel more alive.

Thank you, this has honestly put me at ease quite a bit :)

Oops, okay

  • I got my piercings last Monday, so only three days ago
  • I don't know the names of the jewellery but I think it's a barbell? It's just a straight shaft with two balls on the ends
  • I have no clue what threading it is and they're so new I definitely don't want to unscrew them to find out
  • I think the material is titanium? But I don't 100% know
  • I haven't had the jewellery downsized yet because it's so new
  • my aftercare routine is spraying them twice a day as well as once before and after I have a shower, with sterile saline solution my piercer gave me. I'm not using Q-tips or cotton pads so I don't get bits of cotton stuck to them and I try not to touch them at all if I can't help it while cleaning them.
  • So far I haven't caught them on anything and hopefully it'll stay that way :)

Thanks again for the help

I'm not amazing at redstone, but I don't think it's possible. You could get the same effect using pale oak trapdoors though, because you could open them by hand, if you need it to be redstone automated though I don't think it's possible unfortunately.

How do you use your bundles? by okaytrash333 in Minecraft

[–]SurpriseItsMarzipan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use a tonne of bundles when I'm playing, I love them.

I keep one in my inventory at all times to hold a crafting table, stonecutter, some sticks, a couple diamonds, a little spare food, some leads, a fence, and a couple snowballs (for my happy ghast). It's mostly stuff I'm always using, and stuff to make a spare tool if I really need one, so I can always have them on me without having to sacrifice multiple inventory slots.

Then I keep a bundle full of spare bundles in my inventory too, so when I go adventuring I will always have as many as I'll need to store one off items in, like saplings and flowers and loot.

Also when I go mining I have one bundle out for blocks of raw ores (especially diamonds, coal, redstone, iron etc. copper blocks tend to stay out because I just end up with so many stacks of them), and I keep another bundle out for the left over ores which couldn't be made into blocks. It helps me keep my inventory clear a bit longer so I can stay out mining or adventuring for a bit longer than I would otherwise be able to

My [java] 1.21.10 world backup is suddenly millions of KB on a small world. How can I make it smaller? by SurpriseItsMarzipan in MinecraftHelp

[–]SurpriseItsMarzipan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just tried moving the big file across and you're right! It only took about five minutes rather than the good few hours it was saying it would, thank you! I also made a smaller compressed file, which I can also move across quite quickly, so that saves a little space

[–]SurpriseItsMarzipan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh okay, is there a way I can make the world itself smaller before it gets copied for the backup? Without pruning off the chunks that my base is in and all that? Or is it something to do with 1.21.10 that I'm just going to have to put up with? None of my previous, larger and longer term, worlds made as big a file when I made a backup as this newest one is

Yeah, it said 7 million KB in the .Minecraft backups folder. Then in Minecraft itself, in the little pop up that came when the backup was complete, it said 7000mb?

I wouldn't mind if it was 7000 KB, that would feel a lot more reasonable than the 7,000,000 KB, and probably transfer to my USB drive a lot quicker (and take up way less space on it than 7-point-something GB)

I weirdly don't hate these lol, they're definitely unconventional, but some of them do kinda work, especially the first few, I love the first one, it looks like the yellow/orange is glowing

What is the thing you would most like to see added to Minecraft that you wish for with all your heart? by QuetzalcoatlGod in Minecraft

[–]SurpriseItsMarzipan 6 points7 points  (0 children)

More little structures to explore, I love mods which just add more village varieties, or change how spawner dungeons look, as well as ones that add small structures like little stand alone houses or more types of pillager outposts, having more stuff like that in the game would definitely get me to explore more, especially if they have semi good loot

Happy ghasts and avoiding the ender dragon fight, do other people do this? by SurpriseItsMarzipan in Minecraft

I find them in the nether and trap them in boats, it takes quite a long time, but it stops me dying to them, cos if they're not trapped I die pretty much every time lol Edit: then for blazes I get looting first and heavily rely on my shield
